Abstract

1299724 Compartmented package; trays UNILEVER Ltd 28 May 1970 [30 May 1969] 27462/69 Headings B8C and B8P A compartmented package comprises a tiered assembly of five shallow fibreboard trays 1 each of which is subdivided into a series of compartments 2 by a set of fibreboard panels 3 which are of equal height and slotted together so that they can be folded flat prior to use, the upper trays being supported by the divider panels in the tray below. The height of a divider panel is slightly greater than twice the height of a tray to allow an inverted tray 1 to fit over the panels of the uppermost tray and act as a cover, a blank 5 of corrugated fibreboard being folded and stitched around the trays and the whole package being secured by strips of adhesive tape 6. The sleeve can be turned over the bottom tray the turned over flaps being stitched together at the corners.
