Abstract

1,103,896. Bearings. EISENWERK ROTHE ERDE G.m.b.H. 15 July, 1965 [22 July, 1964], No. 30151/65. Heading F2A. A roller bearing comprises race rings 5 which have surfaces of convex curved cross-section remote from the rollers, the surfaces contacting beds 4 at at least two spaced points A, B of its cross-section. Thus the rings may rock on the beds to maintain contact between the rings and rollers. In Fig. 1, said surfaces are semi-circular in cross-section and the angle at the centre of curvature between the points is 90 degrees. The beds 4 have arcuate central portions of smaller radius of curvature than the surfaces.
