A roller bearing for a wheel 1 has at least two thrust washers 7, 8 of different degrees of hardness provided at each side face of the wheel, the harder washers 8 engaging the side faces and engaging the ends of rollers 2. The washers 7 may be of soft metal and the washers 8 may be of spring steel.
