Abstract

1,100,677. Bolting. M. GAWISH. 9 Aug., 1966 [17 Feb., 1966], No. 7063/66. Heading F2H. [Also in Division E2] A fastener for boxes or carbons comprises a first plate 7 attachable to one surface and having a threaded boss 8 and a second plate 9 attachable to another surface, a headed waisted screw 14 passing through a threaded aperture 11 therein, and a spring 16 urging the screw outwards and housed below the screw head, the screw being adapted to engage the threaded boss 8. As shown, the fastener is used to secure in edge-abutting relationship a pair of flaps 1 and 2 over a pair of flaps 3 and 4. In a modification, Fig. 8 (not shown), the boss is threaded externally for receiving an internally threaded screw. The boss may project to both sides of the plate 7.
