[Also in Division F2] A milling cutter comprises a tooth-clamping element 1 having an internally-threaded portion engaged by a screw 9 and an unthreaded portion having a wedging surface, the least distance 7 of the wedging surface from the axis of the element being equal to or less than half the thread root diameter of the internal thread. In a modification, the tooth 10, Fig. 3, is mounted in a recess of an insert 13.
