1,098,621. Automatic voltage control. NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. July 31, 1964 [May 15, 1963], No. 19269/63. Heading G3R. Voltage regulation of a D. C. generator 9A is effected by controlling, in dependence upon output variations, the current through valves 1, 2 connected in parallel with a field resistor 18, whereby the current through the field winding 17 of the generator is automatically varied in a sense to maintain the output voltage constant; control of the valves 1, 2, is effected by a valve 7 having its anode connected to the grid circuits of valves 1, 2, its cathode connected to a reference tube 11, and its grid connected to the movable tapping of a potentiometer 7A connected across the output terminals 19, 20 of the generator.
