Abstract

1,093,517. Valves. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORPORATION. April 7, 1966 [April 15, 1965], No. 15569/66. Heading F2V. The loading spring 3 of a pressure regulator is disposed in a housing 1 between the actuating diaphragm 4 and an abutment 2; the housing 1 incorporates two pairs of opposed ribs or walls 7, 8, with inner end faces 7<SP>1</SP>, 8<SP>1</SP> of different height. The loading exerted by the spring 3 depends upon which of the two pairs of faces 7<SP>1</SP>, 81 the abutment is positioned to contact. More than two positions may be provided for the abutment. The abutment may consist of a leaf-spring the ends of which co-operate with any one of a number of axially spaced grooves or two opposed and stepped longitudinal grooves. A lead-back groove facilitates adjustment of the leaf-spring.
