Abstract

[Also in Division H1] In an electromagnetically operated valve the armature of the electromagnet is made to move proportionally to the current supplied by providing the wound polepiece with a waisted or reduced diameter portion adjacent its head. The armature is hinged to a frame by a leafspring at one end, and at the other end a cooperating screw and spring are used to adjust the setting.
