Abstract

1,085,793. Safety harnesses. C. R. DARTOIS. June 24, 1964 [July 4, 1963; Dec. 10, 1963], Nos. 26503/63 and 48782/63. Heading A3V. [Also in Division E2] The safety harness for a vehicle comprises an adjustable lap belt, and shoulder and chest straps connected to a quick release buckle (see Division E2). The lap belt comprises two straps 3, 4 anchored to floor brackets 5, 6. The shoulder and chest straps 9, 11 extend from the floor bracket 5 and a door pillar bracket 12 as shown. The shoulder and chest straps 9, 11 may be continuous and pass through an anchor on the door pillar. The lap belt may also be continuous and extend through both floor brackets.
