Abstract
1,085,792. Paper roll dispensers. MINISTER OF PUBLIC BUILDINGS & WORKS. Sept. 1, 1964 [June 14, 1963], No. 23758/63. Heading A4G. A two-part container 1, 2 for a paper roll 13 journalled on a roller 12 has a roller 7 and a bar 9 mounted respectively on the parts 1, 2 so that when the container is losed the free end of the roll 13 is gripped between the roller 7 and bar 9. The roller ' and a guide roller 8, which are fixed to a pivotally mounted arm 6, may be prerented from rotating in one direction by a ratchet. The paper may be cut on a serrated edge of the upper part 1 or on a serrated edge 24 of a plate 25 hinged to the part 2 so that it may be pushed inwards against spring 28 to allow the reset piece of paper to be gripped. The part 2 is pivotally connected to the upper part 1 by a hinge pin 4 and is locked in the closed position by rods 18 engaging recesses 17 in limbs 15 )f a spring-loaded U-shaped member 16. Actuation of a handle 20 carried by member 16 opens the container until the proections 22 engage stop pads 23, or further novement of the handle allows the proections to pass through the apertures 23a, :o open the container fully.
