A reinforced rubber hose:pipe 4 which may have a softer rubber layer 6 forms a seal with a circumferential projection 2 within a metal or plastics tube 1 having an enlarged bore 1b at the free end thereof and inclined recesses or apertures 3 in which are engaged hooks 7c at the ends of fingers 7b spaced around the cylindrical portion 7a of a metal fastener 7 bonded to or embedded in the hose; alternatively, the fastener is replaced by rubber barbs formed integrally with the hose.
