Abstract

1,062,079. Carrying conductors through partitions. HEYMAN MANUFACTURING CO. Dec. 4, 1964 [June 1, 1964], No. 49375/64. Heading H2E. [Also in Division F2] A strain relief bushing 1 of dielectric material for holding an electric conductor in an aperture in a panel ,comprises a shank 3 and a grip block 6 connected by flexible strap 18 which, in the mounted position of the bushing, extends. from the bushing outside the panel. The shank and grip block are each pro- .vided with a flange 2 which abuts the outer side of the panel. Locking means: are provided and comprise two fingers 10 projecting from the end of the bushing remote from the flange, shoulders 11 being formed on the fingers which shoulders co-operate with the periphery of the aperture in the panel. The locking means may also comprise grooves in. the outer surface of the bushing (Fig. 10, not shown). The shank 3 is provided with a channel 4 formed with,a recess 5 the lateral walls of which are grooved to form tracks 8 to guide a conductor gripping tongue 7 of the grip block into the recess 5. Several different configurations of strap are shown in the drawings.
