In a motor vehicle including front and rear engines 1, 2 which drive the front and rear road wheels of the vehicle through respective transmission assemblies each comprising a clutch 3, gear-box 4 and differential 5, mounting blocks 11 projecting laterally from each engine 1, 2 are detachably secured by bolts 12 to the respective ends of a hollow longitudinal frame structure 7 comprising channel-section girders 8 welded to a flat bottom panel and a curved top panel (Fig. 2, not shown). Suspension means (not shown) for the road wheels are secured to the transmission assemblies.
