Abstract

A vehicle body is formed from panels 1, 1a having a straight flange 2 along one edge to engage with the reverse-turned flange 3, 4, 5 along the edge of an adjacent panel thereby allowing short-throat welding tools to be used. The panels may also be flanged at 6 and 7 to be welded to the stiffener 8. The panels are preferably secured to chassis members 9 as shown.
