Abstract

941,747. Vehicle bodies. VAUXHALL MOTORS Ltd. Oct. 4, 1962 [Oct. 12, 1961], No. 36630/61. Heading B7B. A van body is constructed of a number of standard corrugated panels such as 3-7 which form the roof and similar panels 12 forming the side parts where full height is required; short panels 10, 11, over the wheel arch panel 20, panels 28, 29 forming rear doors and a similar panel 9 forming a side door, together with narrow corner panels 8 at the forward end of the body. The panels are secured together with their corrugations overlapping and their free edges are stiffened where necessary by angle or channel sections as shown in Fig. 15 which depicts a rear corner between the side panel 12 and the rear door 29.
