Abstract

1,056,749. Spray-producers. BAKER PERKINS Ltd. Oct. 10, 1963, No. 40064/63. Heading B2F. [Also in Division A4] In an atomizing head, having an externally tapered compressed air duct 37 and a liquid supply duct 41, a pneumatically operated valve member 44 is movable perpendicularly to the latter to control the liquid flow. The valve member 44 is normally held in the raised position, by compression spring 49, to cut off the liquid supply. On connecting inlet 47 to a source of high pressure air, member 44 is lowered and liquid flows round stem 48 to spray nozzle 38. The nozzle may be cleared after use by allowing the flow of low pressure air, through duct 37, to continue for a timed period when the supply of liquid has been cut off. The atomiser is used to spray grease on to baking tins (see Division A4).
