In a dry shaver comprising a motor housed in a casing and a cutting head consisting of cutters driven in translation or rotation by the motor and coacting with a grid, the cutting head is carried by a support plate detachably mounted on the casing, the support plate being provided with guide means and positioning means coacting with corresponding means provided on a projection 8 formed on the casing. As shown in Fig. 1, cutting head 1 consists of a plate 3 on which a slide 4 carrying the cutters 5 is adapted to be reciprocated. The slide has a cavity 4a engageable by a driving pin 6 carried by casing 2 and driven by a motor, the pin being movable in an aperture 3a in the plate 3. The plate 3 is provided with a pair of guide flanges 7a, 7b adapted to fit over the edges of the projection 8. The flanges are provided with notches 9a, 9<SP>1</SP>a, 9b, 9<SP>1</SP>b engageable, when the plate 3 is caused to slide on the projection 8 in direction of arrow F1, by studs such as 10a, 10<SP>1</SP>a carried by the side faces of the projection 8. The plate 3 is provided with an elastic tongue 11 coacting with a ramp 12 in a cavity 13 of the projection 8 and engageable, when the plate is moved in direction of arrow F1, with the front edge 12a of the ramp. Grid 15 is pivoted on a pair of lugs 14 carried on the plate 3 and is releasably fastened to the plate 3 by means of an elastic tongue 16 engaging a keeper 18 formed on the plate. When the cutting-head is positioned on the casing an elastic member 19 on the grid engages a spring-influenced push-button 20, Fig. 2, on the casing so that by moving the pushbutton in direction F3, the grid can be opened when the cutting head is in position.
