Abstract

1,160,015. Dry shavers. BALCO FILTERTECHNIK G.m.b.H. 8 June, 1967 [8 June, 1966; 22 June, 1966], No. 26431/67. Heading B4B. In a shaving head for dry shavers, comprising a guard 1, Fig. 2, with long-hair holes 3 which each include an entry gap 4 leading into a shaving slit 5, and a movable cutting member 2 with blades 7 which slide over the underside of the guard, the blades are cut back at 8 in the vicinity of the entry gaps 4 of the holes 3. Preferably, the cut-back sections 8 of the blades provide a flat face 9 parallel to the guard. The face 9 may be provided with surface domes, knobs or ribs. The holes 3 are provided with lifting edges 12, Fig. 5, at the junction between the entry gap 4 and the shaving slit 5 and/or along the entry gap itself. Some or all of the lifting edges may be bent outwards and/or cranked or trimmed back parallel to the surface plane of the guard. In a modification, the long-hair holes (3), Fig. 4 (not shown) are arranged in circles, the cutting member having rotary motion imparted thereto.
