Abstract
1,048,719. Winding stators for dynamo-electric machines. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA A.B. Sept. 4, 1963 [Sept. 7, 1962; Dec. 21, 1962], No. 34910/63. Heading B3A. A device, for use in conjunction with a statorwinding machine, comprises a plurality of mould pairs for guiding the wire and forming the coil ends, the moulds of each pair co-operating and being mountable at the respective stator ends during the forming of a coil, is characterized in that each mould has a projection for insertion axially into a stator slot and has one half of a plug-in coupling for fixing the mould by movement parallel to the stator axis and is further characterized in that the device comprises two holders, mountable outside both stator end surfaces and axially movable relative to the stator, and each adapted to hold a plurality of moulds, and having gripping means for dismounting the moulds from a stator by axial movement. Each mould comprises a guiding surface 1 along which the wire slides into a recess 2. Pegs 4 and 6, Figs. 1 and 2 (not shown), occupy one stator slot and pegs 3 and 5 occupy a second slot. The moulds are fitted by holes 9 on to pegs 18 of a holder 13, and have recesses 10 which are engaged by a rotatable pawl 14 when the moulds are to be removed from the stator 11, which has a casing 16 and laminations 17. Moulds of this type can only be fitted to the unwound slots of stators. Fig. 4 (not shown) illustrates a mould, for use with a wound stator slot, which comprises a short peg 25 which during mounting of the moulds is driven into already wound slots, and which has a slotted projection 23 which engages a socket on the other mould of a pair. The projection and socket are rectangular in cross-section.
