Abstract
104,493. Royce, F. H., and Rolls- Royce, Ltd. Jan. 2, 1917. Valve-gear.-In an internal-combustion engine for motor-cars &c., the crank-shaft 1 is formed hollow at its rear end and is connected by serrations 4 to a shaft 2 carrying flanges 5, 6, to which are secured the fly-wheel and the driving-gear 7 for the cam shaft 8. The shaft 2 may be extended to carry the inner clutch part.
