Abstract

1,041,419. Transformers. MATERIEL ELECTRIQUE S.W. Sept. 18, 1964 [Sept. 19, 1963], No. 38233/64. Heading H1T. An auto-transformer having a tapped control winding 1 (Fig. 1) connected between the low voltage line MT and the junction of the common and series windings 3 and 2 has the control winding 1 surrounded by screens (11 and 12 in Fig. 2, not shown) which are connected to the line MT. The transformer has windings comprising two parallel connected symmetrical winding portions having their diameters increasing outwardly from the plane of symmetry. The control winding may be interleaved.
