Abstract

1,039,678. Bottle crates. VEREENIGING VOOR ZUIVELINDUSTRIE EW MELKHYSIENE. July 25, 1963 [Aug. 1, 1962], No. 29951/63. Heading B8P. A bottle crate with apertures in its side walls has an open work bottom of ribs 1 (Fig. 3, not shown) at 45 degrees to the side walls and dividers 14 parallel to the side walls joined to the bottom at the intersections of the ribs at 2 and to each other. The upper boundary of the dividers 14 and side walls 7 form a wave pattern (Fig. 1, not shown) at the uppermost points of which the dividers are joined to the walls at 13 and to themselves 16 and 17, and opposite the lowermost points of which they are both joined to the base. The wavy edge of the walls has a reinforced rim and large hand holes 9 are provided. In stacked condition lower flanges 4 rest on a rounded upper part 5 and lower rims 3 fall within upper rims 6. The crate is of plastics material cast in a die.
