Abstract

1,145,924. Stacking and nesting containers. BIG DRUM Inc. 15 March, 1966, No.11371/66. Headings B8D and B8T. A frusto-conioal plastics container 10 has a side wall 12 and integral base 14, and a removable snap-fitted cover 16, the cover and base having corresponding external surface configurations so as to limit any relative lateral displacement between two stacked like containers. The cover includes a raised central portion 21 and a number of ribs 17 extending radially outward therefrom. Open containers may be nested, Fig. 5 (not shown), a peripheral shoulder 28, diameter a, axially spaced from the mouth of one container nesting on the mouth 30, diameter b, of the next.
