Abstract

1306338 Stacking crates A SCHOELLER 9 July 1971 [28 Sept 1970] 32307/71 Heading B8P To enable plastics bottle crates to be stacked with an upper crate placed transversely on a lower crate and also to travel satisfactorily on a roller conveyer spaces on the underside of each crate between rib configurations 7 are provided with bosses 12, 13 and the top edge 3 of the crate has corresponding slots 14a, 14b and 15a, 15b. In another embodiment (Figs. 3 and 4) pairs of webs (10a, 10b) extend at 45 degrees from adjacent configurations 7 and the top edges of the crate carry corresponding slots. In a further embodiment (Figs. 1 and 2) a short rib (8) extends between the configurations 7 and the top edges of the crate are provided with slots (9a-9c) to accommodate the short rib of an upper crate.
