Abstract

1,039,555. Door holders. PRESSED STEEL CO. Ltd. June 23, 1965 [March 25, 1964], No. 12727/64. Heading E2A. A door post 12 and door are connected by hinge leaves 11, 13 and the door is held open by a portion 15 projecting from the end of the leaf 13 and which engages the resilient hook portion 20 of a torsion bar 16 mounted to pivot on the door post. The torsion bar engages in a recess in part of the leaf 11. In a modification the end of the leaf 13 carries a roller, and the leaf 11 provides a stop therefor to prevent the roller engaging the torsion bar until the door is more than half open.
