[Also in Division D1] A web issuing from a textile calender 1, Fig. 1 (not shown), is passed over a guide roller 3 carried on arms 2 set at a desired height by hydraulic pistons 10, and between friction rollers 5 carried on rocking levers 4 so as to be laid in folds on a carriage 6. The drive of the rollers 3, 5 and the rocking of the arms 4 is derived from the calender through a drive 7, 8. By removing the carriage 6 and substituting a bobbin 14 on a carriage 13, Fig. 2 (not shown), moving the levers 4 to an idle position and disengaging their drive, and lowering the arms 2 so that the roller 3 bears on the bobbin 14, the web is wound on to the latter, the roller 3 acting as a guide, pressure and drive roller.
