Abstract
102,083. Sadler, S. Feb. 22, 1916. Control mechanism.-Relates to a rotary control handle for Bowden mechanism for use on the handle-bars of motor-cycles &c. The handle 2 is fixed on a rotary sleeve 1 provided with a flange 3 having a slotted boss 4, in which the end of the Bowden cable 5 is secured. The flange 3 works in a groove 6 in a bracket 7 clamped to the handle-bar &c. by a split ring portion 9, in which is a bolt 10. The bracket 7 is provided with a hole to receive the sheath 8 of the cable and a slot to receive the cable 5, and also with two lugs 11 to secure a spring 12, which encircles the sleeve 1 and holds the handle. in any desired position.
