Abstract

628,428. Making fermenting tanks. A.P.V. CO., Ltd., (formerly ALUMINIUM PLANT & VESSEL CO., Ltd.)., and CROSBY, W. E. Sept. 22, 1947, No. 25711. [Class 83 (ii)] In erecting fermenting tanks on site, sheets 20, cut approximately to size, have a margin 26 tack-welded or otherwise secured to an exterior stanchion 27 and margins 25 of adjacent sheets 21 are overlapped and welded thereto inside the tank. The overlapping sheets 21 may be joggled. The bottoms are similarly secured to flat bars and a strengthening channel (Fig. 5, not shown) is welded to the bent-over top ends of the sheets. The corner sheets are notched for bending and have flange plates welded on.
