1,013,342. Centrifugal pumps and compressors; turbines. TETMARKS PATENT Ltd. Jan. 30, 1962 (June 15, 1961], Nos. 2628/65 and 2629/61. Divided out of 1,013,341. Drawings to Specification. Headings F1C and FIT. The subject-matter of this Specification is identical with some of the subject-matter of Specification 1,013,341, but the claims are concerned with a casing and removable cover construction in which the casing is of welded construction and comprises a hollow cylindrical or frusto-conical outer wall, closed at one end by the cover, an inner cylindrical or frustoconical wall coaxial with the outer wall and an annular connecting wall welded to the inner and outer walls so that it is spaced from the cover and extends generally radially from the outer wall to the inner wall, the space within the outer wall between the cover and the connecting wall containing a volute passage and providing accommodation for a rotor rotatable about the common longitudinal axis of the inner and outer walls, the outer wall being provided between the connecting wall and the cover with a port communicating with the larger end of the volute passage, and the inner wall being provided on the side of the connecting wall remote from the cover with a port for communication with the eye of the rotor.
