Abstract

1,010,484. Beams for supporting floor shuttering. KWIK FORM Ltd. Jan. 16, 1964 [Jan. 17, 1963], No. 2114/63 Headings E1K and E1S. A telescopic beam for floor shuttering comprises an outer member having a lower boom 18 the end 18a of which is inclined downwardly and outwardly and the locking wedge 23 engages between this inclined part 18a and the inner member 12. The wedge is secured to the beam by a collar 29 slidable against the two parts 19 of the boom 18, a screw 30 passing between the parts 19 securing the collar to the wedge. The outer member is a lattice girder having a channel upper boom 16 and inclined strips 21 at both ends. The inner member has an upper boom of triangular cross-section, a lattice or plate web 15 a bar 14 for the lower boom and end plates 15a. There may be a wedge at both ends of the beam.
