Abstract

The invention relates to a wheelchair ramp with adjustable edges on the ground according to the height of the sidewalks and which prevents other street users from injuring themselves on its edges. It consists of two right triangles (3) on its sides acting as adjustable edges on the ground, they are fixed opposite side to the right angle by means of a hinge to the fixed part (1) of the ramp, depending on the height of the sidewalks the edges by adjusting to the ground modify their slopes and avoid falls and injuries of other used. The adjustable edge device on the ramp according to the invention is intended for all ramps used to climb an obstacle of 20 cm maximum, they could be particularly adapted to the work done in urban area given its adaptability due to the different heights of sidewalks and the inherent danger to pedestrians.

Description

The present invention relates to a wheelchair ramp which adjusts its side edges to the floor according to the different sidewalk heights. The traditional ramps have no side edges adjustable to the sidewalk heights or no edges at all they have openings on the sides that are dangerous for other users, risks of falls and cuts for these reasons they are rarely used by companies are unaware of the difficulties of wheelchair users. The adjustable edges according to the invention make it possible to remedy this drawback. Indeed, two moving edges of triangular shapes are fixed by means of hinges machined in the mass on the lateral sides of the fixed ramp, these edges gradually adjust to the ground for sidewalks which measure 20 cm maximum, the shape of its triangles on the sidewalk make it possible to preserve the thread of the water for the gutters. The fixed ramp is square and straight, the curb end has a re-entrant angle, it is made of recyclable plastic, it meets the standards for the load, it is anti-slip and is provided in its lower part with an opening for the carry. The attached drawing illustrates the invention: FIG. 1 represents the device of the invention. With reference to this drawing, the ramp has a fixed square of 0.64 m2 (1) and an opening to carry it, a rectangular edge with a re-entrant angle of 0.10 x 0.80 m (2), two edges in right triangles of 0,80 x 0,70 x 0,35m (3) fixed to the fixed ramp side opposite to the right angle by hinges machined in the mass. The adjustable edge device according to the invention is intended for identical concepts.
