The present invention relates to a stake for a vine, and in particular to a wire guard adapted for the protection of the vine during mechanical weeding.
State of the art [0002] In order to move towards a more respectful approach to the environment, winemakers set additional constraints in relation to the general regulations, in particular through soil management and fertilization, and maintenance of viticultural soils. Winegrowers in organic agriculture are forced to use products free of synthetic chemical molecules. Consequently, mechanical weeding is increasingly used, both in organic farming and in sustainable farming, thus replacing highly polluted and expensive chemical herbicides and herbicides. Mechanical weeding requires protection to prevent the vines from being damaged by tillage tools. To solve this problem, the FR 2 023 677 describes for example a protective guard consisting of a folded steel wire in the form of two parallel rods connected by a hoop. This tutor comprises two locking loops which are formed at the height of a vine holding wire (also called "carrier wire") and which are intended to "clip" on the carrier wire. In practice, the guardian is thus driven into the ground so that the rods are placed on either side of the vine, and until the carrier wire is "clipped" on the lock loops. The vine is therefore framed by the stalks of the guardian, which prevents him from being damaged during the mechanical weeding. The clipping is obtained by a complex shape of the locking loops, which each consist of two half-loops of opposite concavities and located in perpendicular planes, one of the half-loops extending on either side of the tutor's plan. In practice, the fact that the lock loops are placed at the same height on the two stems of the guardian is troublesome when the ground is sloped. In fact, the vine grows vertically and the carrier wires run parallel to the ground. In such a case, if the guardian of FR 2 023 677 is planted vertically, it will either be clipped on one of the loops or cause a deflection and tension in the carrier wire. OBJECT OF THE INVENTION [0006] An object of the present invention is to provide a guard which protects the vines during mechanical weeding and is easy to use.
OF THE INVENTION [0007] A guardian for a vine according to the invention comprises two substantially parallel rods intended to be planted in the ground and connected by a cross section, for example a bow whose concavity is turned towards the end of the stems. It will be appreciated that one of the rods includes an elongate (or oblong) loop in the direction of the rod, the loop being configured to follow the rod for a predetermined length to define a pinch length for the wire. (or carrier wire), the grapevine can be pinched at any position / height on this pinch length. The pinching of the wire is thus obtained by cooperation between a strand of the loop which runs along the rod, and the rod itself, thus defining, according to the variants, a more or less narrow space for gripping the carrier wire. In general, this nip is obtained by a straight strand of the loop, which can overlap the rod, ie pass in front of the rod, but it could also pass simply along the rod. Since the nip is between the straight strand of the loop and the rod, a simple form of flat loop is sufficient. The loop can then extend in a plane parallel or almost coincident (to the thickness of the wire near) with the plane of the guardian (rods). The simple loop shape defines a downward opening: the stake is clipped on the wire at the same time it is pushed; and the guard can be removed without further manipulation or disturbance of the plant. Another advantageous aspect of the tutor is related to the elongated / oblong shape of the loop, which will allow to pinch a wire at different heights, without having to play on the height of depression of the rods. The tutor according to the invention is thus more flexible in use, easily adapting to the terrain topography. Finally, the two rods allow the signaling of the vine plan and its protection during mechanical weeding operations. The use of this simple loop allows easy realization of the tutor, which can then be manipulated by the hoop and directly pushed into the ground until the wire is at the desired height in the pinching area , which is open down. The present tutor is simply manufactured from a single wire, by successive bends of the wire to obtain the oblong loop between the head portion of the guardian and the foot portion. The loop thus comprises, in addition to the rectilinear strand, a half loop of foot towards the end of the stem, a half-loop of head on the side of the cross section, and a return strand connecting the two half-loops. The oblong loop thus obtained presses on the support wire, pressing it against the rod of the guardian, and thus ensures the perfect holding of the guardian. In practice, the pinch length may be between 5 and 17 cm, preferably between 7 and 12 cm. For guiding the wire towards the nipping zone, the loop advantageously comprises a half-loop (foot end) whose shape is generally in U or in V. Brief description of the drawings [0017] Other features and Features of the invention will become apparent from the detailed description of some advantageous embodiments presented below, by way of illustration, with reference to the accompanying drawings. These show: Fig. 1 is a front view of an embodiment of the present tutor; Fig. 2: is a side view of the guardian of Fig.1; Fig. Figure 3 is a view of another embodiment of the tutor; DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT [0018] A variant of the present tutor 10 is shown in FIG. The tutor is for example made of a folded metal wire so as to have two parallel rods 12, 14 connected by a cross section forming a bow 16. The concavity of the bow 16 is turned towards the free ends of the rods, or feet of stems, which are driven into the ground. Such a form of arch allows the gripping of the guardian, for its implementation, and the protection of the user; however other shapes may be chosen for the cross section, for example a straight or angular shape. The tutor 10 comprises on one of its rods 12 a loop 18 of elongated shape in the direction of the rod 12, the loop 18 being shaped so as to follow the rod 12 to a predetermined length to define a length pinch. Thus, the oblong loop 18 is formed by folding a single wire and divides the rod 12 into a head portion 12a from the arch and a foot portion 12b extending to the free end of the rod. As can be seen in the figure, the nip length is defined by a straight strand 18a of the loop 18 which runs along the rod 12 which carries the loop. The loop 18 is closed by a return strand 18b and two half loops 18c, 18d. In the variants shown, the half-foot loop 18c connects the head portion 12a of the guard to the return strand 18b, and the head half-loop 18d connects the return strand 18b to the straight strand 18a, which is continued by the foot portion 12b. It will be noted that the loop 18 is flat, that is to say that its different portions are substantially in the same plane. In addition, the loop 18 is in a substantially parallel plane and almost coincident with the plane of the guard 10. The carrier wire is thus plated by the straight strand against the rod, but the return strand also participates in the maintenance of the carrier wire. In the variants shown rectilinear strand 18a overlaps the portion of upstream rod 12a a distance L, which thus forms the nip length.
At this point, the rectilinear strand 18a and the rod 12, which cooperate to form the nip length, can be in contact with each other, or slightly spaced (for example from a few tenths of mm to 1 or 2 mm). The spacing between the straight strand and the rod is preferably constant, but one could have a slight deviation of the loop relative to the plane of the guardian to have a greater distance to the feet of the guardian, to facilitate the entry of 'a wire. The penetration of the wire in the nip region is however advantageously facilitated by the shape of the half loop 18c foot, which can be rounded, as in Fig.1 or V (Fig.3). The nip length L may be between 5 and 17 cm, preferably between 7 and 12 cm. The width of the loop (distance between the strands 18a and 18b) may be of the order of a few centimeters, for example between 3 and 6 cm. The height of the guardian may vary according to the uses, but one can generally consider a height (distance between the end of the rods and the top of the arch) between 0.80 m and 1.20 m. The tutor is preferably made with the same steel wire, in particular high-strength high-strength steel (eg yield strength Re greater than 1000 or 1500 Mpa), whose surface may be smooth, twisted or crenellated. The surface of the wire can be protected against corrosion by any conventional treatment, for example by a galvanic coating of ordinary zinc or zinc alloy (ZnAI or ZnAIMg). Alternatively, one can laminate a steel wire or galvanized steel respectively use wire in a corrosion resistant material, for example a stainless steel. The wire used for the tutor can have a diameter between 4 and 10 mm, which gives a satisfactory mechanical strength for handling, especially its insertion into the ground. Preferably the guard is used a single wire 5 mm in diameter. The present tutor allows the signaling of a vine and its protection during mechanical weeding operations around the vines. The elongated shape of the loop is advantageous because it allows a pinching of the wire at different heights, without changing the depth of depression of the tutor. This will also find its interest on steep terrain. We see for example in Fig.3 the advantage of the oblong loop 18 which allows easy placement on steep ground, without compromising the maintenance of the wire 20.
