Abstract
Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION The subject of the invention is a ground guidance device, more precisely such a ground warning device intended to be fixed to a portion of the ground in concrete before taking the latter.
There are known protuberant surfaces of soil detectable in contact with the foot and which signal a situation, such as conventionally the edge of a sidewalk, a train dock or to indicate an area of crossing the public road by pedestrians. Indeed, this signal is preferably intended for places where there is a danger of falling and where for example no railing or border is present but also to indicate a particular area, presenting a conventional danger to the pedestrian. Such places present a risk of tripping or falling or even consist of extrinsically dangerous areas like pedestrian crossings on streets. These devices generally have bands placed in a specific pattern, which may vary from country to country according to national requirements and are used in particular as warning signs for pedestrians with visual impairment. These warning devices may also consist of pads embedded in a slab, either directly or via a separate pavement. Such slabs or pavements are strategically located in combination with conventional pavement slabs, whereby protuberances are felt on the ground at these strategic locations. There are many variants of integrated systems, such as slabs profiled in ceramic stone, natural stone or synthetic material.30 - 2 - State of the art US 5775835 discloses slabs with a system anchoring obtained by lateral bores in the side wings and the intermediate ribs of said slabs; these holes allowing the concrete to enter to anchor the slabs in the ground. These holes are obtained during manufacture (molding) by mobile punches. The function "podotactile" is provided by small nipples with a diameter ranging from 20 to 50 mm. This technology is extremely sophisticated and expensive.
In addition, so that the air trapped during the laying of the slab in the concrete is not a problem of embrittlement of the structure (by forming voids under the plate to the right of the studs), lower circular studs are positioned under each stud so that the tops of these pads during a compression due to a passing machine or just repeated passages of pedestrians is in direct contact with the concrete slab.
Nevertheless, these pads do not allow to easily expel air likely to be retained during the installation of the slab. US 5303669 discloses square slabs with an anchoring system obtained by lateral bores in the wings of the four sides of said slabs; again, the holes being intended to allow the concrete to enter to anchor the slabs in the ground. These holes are obtained during manufacture (molding) by mobile punches but this technology requires particularly expensive molds. Document US Pat. No. 4,715,743 is also known, which describes slabs without an anchoring system in the ground and whose "tactile" function is ensured by strips of relief at constant spacing, the geometry limited by the slabs allowing the "guide rails "Be discontinuous. For the warning slabs, they consist of slabs whose function "podotactile" is provided by small nipples with a diameter ranging from 20 to 50 mm. US 4080087 discloses slabs without "guide rails" as well as US 7142095, US 7189025 and US 7740413.
All these systems are expensive at the level of the production of the elements of the horn on the ground but also extremely impractical to have on the ground for a reduced team, in particular in the grip in the concrete. Indeed, if the warning device is fixed in the concrete with even some air bubbles or empty remaining between the concrete layer and said device, they will deteriorate rapidly over time due to a poor adhesion and the fact that it undergoes a passage generally very important.
Brief description of the invention After experiments, the Applicant has developed a ground warning device, intended to be fixed in the concrete, which allows, thanks to all its features, a quick and secure attachment in the concrete at a particularly low cost, both in terms of production of these devices and in terms of their poses by operators. The present invention thus intends to remedy the problems related to ground warning devices of the prior art in that the latter are absolutely not economical, easy to dispose and perennial due to their attachment to the ground deficient. The present invention thus consists of a profile whose upper face is designed so as to have longitudinal grooves for the warning on the ground and whose lower face has anchoring devices in the ground, these monobloc elements are made in one operation preferably by extrusion for cost reasons. Thus, the present invention relates to a ground warning device, intended to be fixed in concrete or the like, made of plastic and having a substantially parallelepiped shape and two faces, the lower one intended to be fixed in the said concrete and the other upper constituting all or part of the warning zone, characterized in that it consists of a monobloc thermoplastic and in that the lower face has a profile comprising at least one cavity whose distal opening has a diameter or width less than the largest diameter or width of said cavity. Advantageously, the cavity has streaks on its surface.
According to one possibility offered by the invention, the shape of the aforesaid cavity consists of one or more dovetails, inverted T, inverted L-shaped. Preferably, the length of said device is greater than 600 millimeters (substantially corresponding to the area covered by a cane of a visually impaired person). Advantageously, the aforesaid profile further comprises a plurality of tabs extending obliquely at an angle greater than 10 ° relative to the rectangular plane of said device, preferably with an angle greater than 30 ° relative to said rectangular plane. Advantageously, the warning device according to the invention comprises on its lateral edges a chamfer. Preferably, the upper face, also called "outer face", has a plurality of protuberances, for example in the form of linear strips parallel to each other. In addition, it is advantageously provided that the protuberances are spaced apart from each other by a non-constant distance. Finally, said protuberances may preferentially consist of linear strips parallel to each other.
Advantageously, the protuberances consist of bosses, the profile of the upper face having no linear portion. According to a possibility offered by the invention, the device according to the invention further comprises a skin disposed on all or part of its upper surface, said skin being made of a material different from the aforementioned monobloc thermoplastic.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES Further details and advantageous features of the invention will be apparent from the detailed description given hereinafter with reference to the appended figures which show: FIG. 1 is a sectional and perspective view of a portion of a warning device according to the invention, the upper face of the latter having protruding linear strips parallel to each other; - Figure 2 comprises four sectional views of the warning device according to the invention in four different embodiments; - Figure 3 is a partial sectional view of the warning device which is visible the upper face and its protuberances and its end chamfers; FIG. 4 is a sectional view of an embodiment of a ground warning device according to the invention; FIG. 5 is a sectional view of a variant of the embodiment of FIG. 4; - Figure 6 is a sectional view illustrating an alternative embodiment of the warning device according to the invention wherein the latter comprises a skin on its outer face. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The first and main advantage of the ground warning device 1 according to the present invention resides in its easy installation for an operator, in particular with regard to his objective of avoiding air bubbles. voids and occlusions of any kind that could come between the warning device 1 and the concrete and thus weaken their reciprocal links.
For this purpose, the invention proposes the combination of two technical characteristics to achieve this objective. Firstly, the warning device 1 is a thermoplastic monobloc structure so that said device 1 intrinsically has an elasticity which facilitates its handling and placement in fresh concrete. Thanks to this elasticity, the operator can sufficiently bend the device 1 and arrange it for example by one of its ends introduced first into the concrete, in other words an end of the profile of its lower face 2 is placed first in the concrete and then the operator can press the other (or the other) portion (s) of said device 1 in order to progressively penetrate the entire profile of the lower face 2 in the concrete and make better contact of the concrete on the surface of said profile . This ensures a much better contact of the entire surface of the profile of the lower face 2 of the device 1 with the fresh concrete. This elasticity characteristic of the ground warning device 1 is advantageously optimized by the fact that its length is substantial, at least greater than 600 millimeters.
Le dispositif d'avertissement monobloc 1 consiste donc en un thermoplastique qui pourra être choisi parmi les thermoplastiques suivants ou un mélange desdits thermoplastiques : Acrylonitrile-butadiène-styrène (ABS), Acrylique, Celluloïde, - 6 - Acétate de cellulose, Acétate d'Éthylène-Vinyle (EVA), Alcool de vinyle d'éthylène (EVAL), Fluoroplastics (par exemple PTFE, PFA, CTFE, ECTFE ou ETFE), Ionomères Polyacetal (POM ou acétal), Polyacrylates (Acrylique), Polyacrylonitrile, Polyamide (PA ou nylon), Polyamide-imide (PAI), Polyaryletherketone (PAEK ou cétone), Polybutadiène (PBD), Polybutylène (PB), Téréphtalate de polybutylène (PBT), Polycaprolactone (PCL), Polychlorotrifluoroethylene (PCTFE), Téréphtalate de polyéthylène, Téréphtalate de dimethylene de Polycyclohexylene (PCT), Polycarbonate (PC), Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs), Polyketone (PK), Polyester, Polyéthylène (PE), Polyetheretherketone, Polyetherimide (PEI), Polyethylenechlorinates (PEC), Polyimide (Pi), Acide polylactique (PLA), Polyméthylpentène (PMP), Oxyde de polyphénylène (PPO), Sulfure de polyphénylène (PPS), Polyphthalamide (PPA), Polypropylène (Pp), Polystyrène Polyuréthane, Acétate polyvinylique (PVA), Chlorure polyvinylique (PVC), Chlorure de polyvinylidène ou Styrène-acrylonitrile (San), composite PVC-bois (WPVC). The monoblock warning device 1 therefore consists of a thermoplastic which may be chosen from the following thermoplastics or a mixture of said thermoplastics: Acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS), Acrylic, Celluloid, - 6 - Cellulose acetate, Ethylene acetate -Vinyl (EVA), Ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVAL), Fluoroplastics (eg PTFE, PFA, CTFE, ECTFE or ETFE), Polyacetal (POM or acetal) monomers, Polyacrylates (Acrylic), Polyacrylonitrile, Polyamide (PA or nylon), Polyamide-imide (PAI), Polyaryletherketone (PAEK or Ketone), Polybutadiene (PBD), Polybutylene (PB), Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT), Polycaprolactone (PCL), Polychlorotrifluoroethylene (PCTFE), Polyethylene terephthalate, Polyethylene terephthalate Polycyclohexylene (PCT) dimethylene, Polycarbonate (PC), Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs), Polyketone (PK), Polyester, Polyethylene (PE), Polyetheretherketone, Polyetherimide (PEI), Polyethylenechlorinates (PEC), Polyimide ( Pi), Polylactic acid (PLA), Polymethylpentene (PMP), Polyphenylene oxide (PPO), Polyphenylene sulphide (PPS), Polyphthalamide (PPA), Polypropylene (Pp), Polystyrene Polyurethane, Polyvinyl acetate (PVA), Polyvinyl chloride ( PVC), Polyvinylidene chloride or Styrene-acrylonitrile (San), PVC-wood composite (WPVC).
It should be noted that the fact that the warning device 1 is made of thermoplastic material also makes it possible, because of its plasticity / elasticity different from the current pavement coverings, to indicate to the pedestrians, by simple tactile contact, that they are near a particular area or obstacle. Second, the lower face 2 of the warning device 1 has a profile comprising at least one cavity 3 whose distal opening has a diameter or a width less than the largest diameter or width of said cavity 3. This particular geometry allows in combination with the characteristic of elasticity of the device 1 to effectively expel air bubbles or to avoid voids and to form a perfect cohesion between the warning device 1 and the fresh concrete (not visible in the accompanying figures). In this way, the union between the warning device 1 and the ground is perfect and opposes the tearing of said device 1. The one-piece device according to the invention is obtained by molding according to well known techniques of the skilled in the art, depending on the thermoplastic (s) chosen (s).
Figures 1 and 3 show an embodiment of the warning device 1 in which the upper face 2 'has a plurality of protuberances 4 in the form of parallel linear strips whose section is frustoconical and present on their basis a width of between 20 millimeters and 30 millimeters (mm). The height of these protuberances 4 is between 3 and 7 mm, ideally between 4 and 5 mm. In order to mark the proximity of an obstacle or a particular zone, the distance between each protuberance 4 is reduced in the direction / direction of said obstacle or said considered zone. It can also be expected that the height of the protuberances 4 vary with the approximation / removal of this obstacle or the so-called special area (such as a road crossing or a platform edge), this height may increase or decrease depending of a predetermined convention. Conventionally, it will be envisaged that the height of the protuberances 4 increases when the latter are disposed closer to the particular zone or obstacle. Of course, it will be possible to combine the variation in distance between the protuberances 4 as well as their respective heights in order to accentuate the tactile feel of pedestrians. The ground warning device 1 has in FIG. 1 two chamfers 5, 5 'located at each of its ends along its entire length (it is also possible to provide such chamfers 5, 5' at these ends in its width) although it is also possible to envisage only one chamfer 5 or 5 'to mark, in a conventional way, the proximity of the particular zone or of an obstacle. It can also be envisaged that the slope of the two chamfers 5, 5 'are different, again to mark the side where said zone or said obstacle is, the slope of the chamfer 5 located in the immediate vicinity of the latter being greater than that of the chamfer 5 'opposite. Regarding the profile of the lower face 2 of the warning device 1, it will be noted that it is a plurality of dovetails 6 on the embodiment of Figure 1 and 2a. This dovetail profile 6 extends here over the entire length of the warning device 1 but it can also be provided that such a cavity 3, or even a plurality of such cavities 3, is arranged punctually on the surface. In the same way, the embodiments shown in FIGS. 2b and 2c have cavities 3 of T-shaped section when respectively the dovetails 6 will have a shape of L or inverted T respectively. 6, 7 and are arranged punctually or extend over the entire length of the device. It will be noted that in all these embodiments (FIGS. 1, 2a, 2b, 2c), the diameter, or even the width, of the distal opening formed by two adjacent shapes 6, 7 or 8 is always smaller than the maximum diameter, or width, in the cavity 3. The term "distal opening" means the opening of the cavity 3 lying furthest on the inferior face ure 2 or the cavity opening 3 located at maximum distance from the upper face 2 'of the device 1, for example a lateral opening of said cavity 3. It will also be noted that this distal opening of the cavity 3 ideally extends in a plane parallel to the general plane of the warning device 1. The embodiment shown in FIG. 2d presents a possibility complementary to that of the presence of at least one cavity 3 on the lower surface 2 of the warning device 1. These are tabs 9 extending not perpendicular to the general plane of the warning device 1, ideally at an angle greater than 10 ° relative to this plane and preferably at a higher angle at 30 ° to this plane. These lugs 9 are intended more specifically to prevent any tearing of the warning device 1 or more precisely to strengthen the mechanical links between the warning device 1 and the concrete (not visible in the accompanying figures). According to a possibility offered by the invention, the cavities 3 of the lower face 2 of the device 1 may comprise ridges 10 serving, by increasing the contact surface between the lower face 2 of the device 1 and making it irregular, d partly to evacuate the air bubbles more easily, to avoid voids or any third elements and secondly to strengthen the connection between the lower face 2 of the ground warning device 1 and the concrete, being considered the wettability of a conventional concrete. Thus in FIG. 4, ridges 10 are present only on the bottom of the cavity (s) 3 of the warning device 1 while in FIG. 5 these same ridges 10 are present both on the bottom of said cavities 3 but also on the end portions 11 of the lower face 2. These ridges 10 may extend over all or part of the length of the warning device 1. In a possible variant of the invention, shown in FIG. , the warning device 1 according to the invention comprises a skin or strip 12 fixed on its outer / upper face 2 '. Ideally, the warning device 1 is obtained by coextrusion with a main material forming the core of said device 1 and a different texture material forming the skin material 12. This skin 12 may for example consist of Nakanprene ° or PVC plasticized PVC (PVC) or PVC wood (Wood PVC) giving a very different feel, relative to its elasticity or its surface properties, of the concrete base floor.
It may also be provided that this skin 12 has a different color, preferably easily perceptible to the naked eye (bright colors such as red or blue). Furthermore, this skin 12 may consist of a material having improved resistance to ultraviolet (UV), for example by adding an anti-UV adjuvant TiO2 type.
