Description

The present invention relates to a biodegradable tray and sealable. There are currently trays that are intended to contain food products and which are made from plant fibers to be biodegradable. Such trays can not be closed by a seal because the latter which is a plastic film can not adhere to the plant fiber. An object of the present invention is to provide a biodegradable and sealable tray. For this purpose, a tray is provided comprising: - a bowl having a bottom, side walls surrounding the bottom and a flange extending around the upper ends of the side walls, - a sealing film covering the bowl and fixed thereto - A seal sealed to the sealing film covering the rim, the bowl being made of plant fibers, the sealing film and the seal being made of a biodegradable plastic film.

Advantageously, the biodegradable plastic film is made of oxo-biodegradable polyethylene. The characteristics of the invention mentioned above, as well as others, will appear more clearly on reading the following description of an exemplary embodiment, said description being made in connection with the attached drawings, among which: FIG. . 1 shows a tray according to the invention, and FIG. 2 is a section of the tray of FIG. 1.

Fig. 1 shows a tray 100 which is intended to contain food products. The tray 100 includes a bowl 101 having a bottom 102, side walls 104 surrounding the bottom 102 and a flange 106 which extends parallel to the bottom 102 from the upper ends of the side walls 104 and around these 30. The flange 106 thus forms a planar portion around the opening of the bowl 101. The tray 100 also comprises a sealing film and a cap 108 which are represented here in part.

The bowl 101 is made of plant fibers such as sugar cane bagasse. The sealing film 105 is made of a biodegradable plastic film made for example of oxo-biodegradable polyethylene. The sealing film 105 completely covers the bowl 101 to which it is attached. Thus, the sealing film 105 covers the upper face of the bottom 102, the inner faces of the side walls 104, and the upper face of the flange 106. The sealing film 105 allows the subsequent introduction of the cap 108 which is constituted a plastic film also biodegradable and made for example of oxo-biodegradable polyethylene. The cover 108 is sealed to the sealing film 105 which covers the flange 106. The sealing is effected for example by hot gluing. The establishment of the sealing film 105 makes it possible to place the lid 108 which encloses the food products, and seals the tray 100 in which can be injected a particular atmosphere for better preservation of food products. In addition, the tray 100 is fully biodegradable. The manufacturing process of the tray 100 consists of: a step of supplying a layer of plant fibers, a step of supplying the sealing film 105, a step of rolling the sealing film 105 on the fiber layer. plant, during which the sealing film 105 is adhered to the layer of plant fibers, - a shaping step in which the sealing film 105 and the layer of vegetable fibers thus rolled are pressed and cut so as to be shaped in the form of the bowl 101 covered with the sealing film 105, - a step of filling the cup 101 covered with the sealing film 105 thus shaped, and - a step of sealing the cover 1018 on the sealing film 105 Of course, the present invention is not limited to the examples and embodiments described and shown, but it is capable of numerous variants accessible to humans. of art.35
