Abstract
Description
The invention relates to certain storage devices that are intended to be housed in systems, such as for example and not limited to vehicles (possibly automotive type). Some storage devices comprise a housing which is intended to allow the storage of object (s), which is delimited by a rear wall Zo and four side walls and which is accessible by an open front face and located opposite the rear wall . When an object has dimensions in the three directions of space which are respectively respectively less than those of the housing along the same three directions of space, it can generally be accommodated without difficulty within a dwelling. of the aforementioned storage device. But, it may happen that at least one of the dimensions of an object in a direction of space is greater than that of at least a portion of a dwelling along the same direction of space, even though the cross section of this object allows it to pass through the front 20 open housing. This can happen in particular when the length of an object is significantly greater than the depth of a housing or when two side walls of a housing, which are opposite, are inclined with respect to each other ( for a question of space available in the environment that must accommodate its device or because of a technical constraint, such as for example due to a demolding stress imposing side walls "stripped" and not parallel). It will be understood that in these situations the object can only be (very) partially housed in the housing of a storage device, and thus can be subjected to potentially harmful stresses because it is abnormally blocked and / or cantilevered. In addition, when the cross section of a housing decreases when moving from its front open to its rear wall, it can be difficult to recover with the hand of small objects that are housed near this back wall. It will be understood that the hand may be stuck at an intermediate level of the housing, which prevents it from recovering a small object located further.
The invention therefore aims to improve the situation. It proposes for this purpose a storage device intended to be housed in a system (such as for example a vehicle, possibly automobile) and comprising a housing, delimited by a rear wall and four side walls and accessible by an open front face and located in 1 o look of the back wall. This storage device is characterized in that at least one of the rear and side walls of its housing comprises or constitutes (or is at least partially constituted by) a rotary flap which is intended when it is pushed towards the outside by an object which is introduced into the housing and which has at least one dimension greater than that presented by at least part of this housing, to allow an increase in the storage volume of said housing outside , so as to house a larger part of this object. The storage device according to the invention may comprise other characteristics which may be taken separately or in combination, and in particular: the rotary flap may be defined by a cut made in the rear or side wall which comprises it and by a connecting portion which has a locally reduced thickness so as to define a weakening zone which is adapted to its rotational drive; - The connecting portion may comprise a notch which is substantially V-shaped and which defines the weakening zone; - Alternatively, the rotary shutter may be an insert mounted rotatably relative to at least one of the side and rear walls; The wall which comprises or constitutes the rotary flap may be a so-called upper (respectively lower) side wall which is located facing a so-called lower (respectively upper) side wall; the upper side wall may be mainly defined in a plane which is inclined with respect to another plane in which the lower side wall is mainly defined; - In a first variant, the wall which comprises or constitutes the rotary flap may be a so-called right (respectively left) side wall which is located facing a so-called left (respectively right) side wall; the right (respectively left) lateral wall may be mainly defined in a plane which is inclined with respect to another plane in which the left (right) lateral wall is mainly defined; in a second variant, the wall which comprises or constitutes the rotary flap may be the rear wall. The invention also provides equipment (or accessory) comprising at least one storage device of the type shown above. The invention is particularly well suited, although not exclusively, to vehicle-type systems (possibly automotive). Other features and advantages of the invention will appear on examining the detailed description below, and the accompanying drawings (obtained for some in CAD / DAO), in which: - Figure 1 schematically illustrates, in a view in perspective front side, an example of storage device according to the invention forming part of an example of vehicle dashboard equipment, and in the absence of object in its variable volume housing, - Figure 2 schematically illustrates, in a perspective rear view, the equipment of Figure 1 with its storage device still devoid of object in its variable volume housing, - Figure 3 illustrates schematically in a longitudinal sectional view, the storage device of Figures 1 and 2 still devoid of object in its variable volume housing, and - Figure 4 illustrates schematically in a longitudinal sectional view, the storage device of Figures 1 and 2 with an object in its variable volume housing. The attached drawings may not only serve to complete the invention, but also contribute to its definition, if any.
The invention aims to provide a storage device (D) intended to be housed in a system and comprising a housing (L) of variable volume. In what follows, it is considered, by way of non-limiting example, that the system is a dashboard of a vehicle, possibly of the automotive type. But, the invention is not limited to this type of system. It concerns indeed any type of system that can accommodate either a storage device (D) or equipment (EP) comprising at least one storage device (D). FIGS. 1 and 2 show schematically an exemplary EP equipment comprising a storage device D according to the invention.
In this non-limiting example, the EP equipment is a housing (called "ISO") which is intended to be installed in a vehicle dashboard (possibly automotive) instead of a car radio. However, the storage device D could be an integral part of a different type of equipment than the one mentioned above. Moreover, it is important to note that a storage device D may be an autonomous element, and therefore not part of an equipment or intended to constitute a patch of equipment. It will be appreciated that EP equipment of the type illustrated can be made by molding in a rigid plastic or plastic material.
As illustrated in Figures 1 to 3, a device (storage) D, according to the invention, comprises a housing L which is defined by a rear wall PR and four side walls PLi (i = 1 to 4) and which is accessible by a front face FV which is open and which is located opposite the rear wall PR which partially delimits it.
The word "front" here designates an area which is situated on the side where an object O can be introduced into the housing L, and by "rear" an area which is situated on the side opposite to that where it is possible to introduce a object O in housing L.
The rear wall defines a housing base L. One of the side walls, referenced PLI, is said to be upper because it delimits the top of the housing L. Another side wall, referenced PL2, is said to be lower because it delimits the bottom of the housing L and is located opposite the upper side wall PLI. Another side wall, referenced PL3, is said to be straight because it delimits the right portion of the housing L when viewed from the side of its front face FV. Finally the last side wall, referenced PL4, is said to be left because it delimits the left part of the housing L when viewed from the side of its front face FV, and because it is located opposite the wall lateral right PL3. Note that in this non-limiting example the upper side wall PLI is mainly defined in a plane which is inclined with respect to another plane in which is defined mainly the lower side wall PL2. These two planes are at an acute angle, and therefore their spacing at the front face FV is greater than their spacing at the rear wall PR. In other words, the upper side walls PL1 and lower PL2 are said undercut. This results from a technical constraint which is imposed by the embodiment (the molding) of the device D (in fact the EP equipment of which it (D) is an integral part).
Here, the term "to be mainly defined in a plane" means that at least the main part of a wall is substantially (or approximately) defined in a plane. But, the upper side walls PL1 and lower PL2 could be mainly defined in planes which are substantially parallel to each other. Furthermore, the right side walls PL3 and left PL4 are here mainly defined in planes which are substantially parallel to each other. But in a variant they could be undercut. According to the invention, at least one of the rear walls PR and lateral PLi, which delimit the housing L, comprises or constitutes a (or is at least partially constituted by) a rotary shutter VR. The latter (VR) is intended to allow an increase (and therefore a variation) of the volume of the housing L outside when necessary. Thus, and as illustrated in FIG. 4, when an object O which can pass through the front face FV and which has at least one dimension which is greater than that exhibited by at least one part, is introduced inside the housing L. of the housing L, this object O can move the rotary shutter VR by pushing it outwards (arrow F 'of FIG. 4). This spacing of the rotating shutter VR, by rotating drive due to the thrust exerted by the object O, induces an increase in the volume of the housing L of the outer side which accommodates a larger portion of this object O. It will be understood, as shown in Figure 4, a small part of the object O is finally found beyond the initial limits of the housing L. It will also be understood that it is the object O which causes the variation of the volume of the housing L when it drives in rotation (by pushing) at least one rotary shutter VR. In the example shown non-limitingly in Figures 1 to 4, the device D comprises only one rotary shutter VR, which constitutes a portion of the upper side wall PLI. But, alternatively or in addition, the device D could comprise a rotary shutter VR constituting a part of the lower side wall PL2, and / or a rotating shutter VR constituting a part of the right side wall PL3, and / or a rotary shutter VR constituting a part of the left side wall PL4, and / or a rotating flap VR constituting a portion of the rear wall PR. It will be understood that a device D may optionally comprise rotary flaps VR on several (at least two) rear walls PR and lateral PLi which delimit its housing L. It will also be understood that i) the definition of a rotary flap VR on a upper side wall PLI or lower PL2 makes it easier to accommodate an object O that can pass through the front face FV and whose thickness is less than the height of the front face FV but greater than the height of the rear wall PR, ii) that the definition of a rotary shutter VR on a right side wall PL3 or left PL4 makes it easier to accommodate an object O that can pass through the front face FV and whose width is smaller than the width of the front face FV but greater than the width of the rear wall PR, and iii) the definition of a rotary shutter VR on the rear wall PR makes it easier to accommodate an object 0 that can pass through the front face FV and whose length is greater than the depth of the housing L. In addition, in the example shown non-limitatively in Figures 1 to 4, the rotary shutter VR is part of the upper side wall PLI. But, it could constitute all this upper side wall PLI (or at least part of another wall (PR or PLi (i # 1).) In addition, in the example illustrated nonlimitingly in FIGS. 1 to 4, the rotary shutter VR is defined by a cut which is made in the upper side wall PLI and by a connecting portion PN (see FIGS. 2 to 4) which has a reduced thickness locally so as to define an attenuation zone adapted to its rotational drive (according to the arrow F of Figure 3) when it is pushed outwards by a part of an object O or by the hand of a person. The cutting can be carried out in the wall either directly during after the demoulding, by means of a cutting tool, the thickness reduction of the connecting portion PN may, as shown in the nonlimiting example, be obtained by means of a notch EV which is substantially V-shaped. and who defines the area of a weakening (or "hinge" zone). Note that the notch EV is here defined on the outer face of the upper side wall PLI. But, alternatively, it could be defined on the inner face of the upper side wall PLI (or another wall PR or PLi (i # 1)). The thickness reduction can be obtained either directly from the mold or after demolding by means of a suitable tool.
In the example shown non-limitatively in FIGS. 1 to 4, the PN link portion of the rotary shutter VR is defined near the front face FV. But, alternatively, it could be defined near the rear wall PR. It will be noted that, in a variant, a rotary shutter VR may be an insert which at least partially constitutes a rear wall PR or a side wall PLi and which is mounted to rotate with respect to at least one of the side walls PLi or the rear wall PR. In other words, a rotary flap VR may either constitute integrally a wall PLi or PR which is reported and in this case it is rotatably mounted on a neighboring wall, or constitute a part of a wall PLi or PR which is reported and rotatably mounted on the latter. This rotational mounting can for example be done by means of at least one hinge or an axis of rotation passing inside parts provided with a cylindrical recess. Note also that with the (x) flap (s) rotating (s) a person can more easily retrieve a small object which is located in the bottom of the housing L, near the rear wall PR. Indeed, when the person introduces his hand in the housing L (by the front face FV), this hand will be able to push at least one rotary shutter VR and thus increase the volume of the housing L, thus facilitating its recovery maneuvers in the bottom of housing L. The invention is not limited to embodiments of storage device, equipment (or accessory) and system described above, only by way of example, but it encompasses all variants that may be considered by those skilled in the art within the scope of the claims below.
