Abstract

The device has a concentrator (20) for guiding an airbag module (10) towards a predetermined zone. The airbag module and the concentrator are attached to a support (40) through a fixation unit (30). The fixation unit includes a stud (32) secured on the airbag module, where the stud passes through a hole of the concentrator and a hole of the support. The concentrator is in the form of a band that surrounds the airbag module. Ends of the band are secured near a fusible link (62) of a cover (60) of a seat (1), where the link tears under the force of deployment of the airbag. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling an airbag deployment device.

Description

Dispositif de déploiement d'un coussin gonflable L'invention concerne un dispositif de déploiement d'un coussin gonflable, plus communément appelé airbag . Plus particulièrement, l'invention concerne un dispositif de déploiement d'un coussin gonflable latéral pour un siège de véhicule et plus particulièrement de véhicule automobile. Actuellement, un des dispositifs de déploiement de coussin gonflable latéral pour siège de véhicule automobile comprend un module de coussin gonflable solidarisé sur une armature de siège to automobile. Ce module de coussin gonflable comprend un coussin gonflable destiné à se déployer sous l'effet d'une cartouche de gaz, cette dernière étant activée par un dispositif de mise à feu. Le concentrateur est composé de deux bandes. Une extrémité de la première bande est solidarisée d'un coté de la couture 20 fusible de la coiffe. Une extrémité de la seconde bande est solidarisée de l'autre coté de la couture fusible de la coiffe. Les extrémités libres de la première et de la seconde bande sont ensuite reliées entre elles par un dispositif de solidarisation, en passant derrière le module de coussin gonflable, lui-même préalablement solidarisé sur un support 25 du siège. Les bandes étant préalablement solidarisées sur la coiffe, leur rattachement derrière le module de coussin gonflable ne peut s'effectuer que lors de la pose de la coiffe. Le dispositif de solidarisation des deux bandes du concentrateur sont généralement reliées par un dispositif de clip irréversible plus 30 communément appelé harpon. Le dispositif de déploiement présente d'une part l'inconvénient d'être relativement complexe à ajuster sur le siège puisqu'il faut passer les deux bandes derrière le module solidarisé sur le support du siège pendant la pose de la coiffe et d'autre part, ce dispositif nécessite 35 d'importantes mesures de contrôle afin de s'assurer que le dispositif de solidarisation (harpon) des deux bandes est correctement fixé. En effet, si ce dernier cède lors du déploiement du coussin gonflable, celui-ci risque de ne pas sortir à l'endroit désiré ou tout au moins de prendre du retard dans son déploiement, ce qui présente alors des risques pour l'usager. L'invention a pour objectif de fournir un dispositif de déploiement d'un coussin gonflable facilement intégrable à un siège de véhicule et présentant notamment des conditions de sécurité optimales. Selon un premier aspect de l'invention, il s'agit d'un dispositif de déploiement d'un coussin gonflable comprenant au moins un module de coussin gonflable et un concentrateur pour guider le coussin gonflable vers une zone prédéterminée, le module de coussin gonflable et le concentrateur étant rendus solidaires d'un support par l'intermédiaire d'au moins un moyen de fixation. Avantageusement, le moyen de fixation comprend un goujon solidarisé sur le module de coussin gonflable, ledit goujon étant apte à passer dans un orifice du concentrateur et dans un orifice du support. Dans une application préférée, le dispositif de déploiement d'un coussin gonflable est apte à s'intégrer dans un siège de véhicule, ledit siège comprenant notamment au moins le support, au moins un bloc de mousse et une coiffe de siège, ladite coiffe comprenant au moins une liaison fusible apte à se déchirer sous l'effort de déploiement de coussin gonflable. Selon un mode de réalisation particulier, le concentrateur présente la forme d'au moins une bande apte à entourer le module de coussin gonflable, les extrémités de ladite bande étant rendues solidaires à proximité de la liaison fusible. En particulier, les extrémités de la au moins une bande du concentrateur sont reliées entres elles par une liaison fusible. Avantageusement, la liaison fusible est une couture fusible.
