Abstract

The cover (1) has two coating parts (4a, 4b) sewn with respect to each other, and an internal face coated by a continuous flexible sub-layer (6) at the level of sewing areas (5), where the coating parts are made of leather. The flexible sub-layer is sealed with precursor mixture of foam, and is made of polyurethane, silicone or latex. The flexible sub-layer is overmolded by a body (2) of a trim element (3), where the body is made of foam i.e. polyurethane. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing a cover (2) a method for manufacturing a trim element of a motor vehicle seat.
