A cet effet, et selon un premier aspect, l’invention propose une matelassure pour composant de siège de véhicule automobile - notamment sous forme d’assise, de dossier ou d’appui-tête -, ladite matelassure comprenant : • une coiffe de revêtement, ladite coiffe comprenant au moins deux empiècements de couche de revêtement - notamment à base de cuir, tissu ou textile enduit de plastique -, lesdits empiècements étant associés, bord à bord et face d’aspect contre face d’aspect, par une ligne de couture dans une zone de liaison, lesdits empiècements étant chacun pourvu d’un format de couche d’envers de confort, • un bloc de rembourrage à base de mousse - notamment de polyuréthanne - élastiquement compressible surmoulant ladite coiffe, sachant que, dans ladite zone de liaison, pour chacun desdits empiècements : • le bord de la face externe dudit format correspondant est disposé en retrait de ladite ligne de couture de manière à ménager une bande dudit empiècement dépourvu de couche d’envers, • ladite bande est repliée d’un quart de tour vers l’intérieur, de sorte que sa face d’envers recouvre la tranche dudit format, ladite ligne de couture étant située au-delà de la face interne dudit format en se dirigeant vers l’intérieur, de manière à ne pas être perceptible au toucher quand ledit format est comprimé par appui de l’occupant dudit siège.With such an arrangement, there is in the connection area a seam defining a seam stub facing inwardly.
