Abstract
Description
The displacement of a load over a long distance is generally considered and prepared with attention given the fatigue that this can cause. Thus according to the physical form of the person concerned and according to the relief of the road taken, he will consider, if he has the possibility, to move his load by portage or by rotation. The ideal in some cases for the interested would be a versatile product with several configurations. Solutions on the market offer two families of solutions.
We find on the one hand suitcases, bags, caddies (depending on the context of transport envisaged) equipped in some cases backpack straps and provided with at least a wheel or wheel. The user moves them by traction on a handle attached to the end of a rod or sleeve extensible or not. It follows on long displacements muscular fatigue in the tractor arm. The comfort of the walker and the efficiency of the walk are disturbed also by this traction force distributed in a non-symmetrical manner on a single arm. The walker 's attention to obstacles must also be increased: the load taking a different route, slightly off the side of the walker. On the other hand, we find devices proposing to remedy the disadvantages of the preceding solutions. These devices carried on one or more wheels comprise one or more connecting elements connecting the load to the user. This or these elements are taken at the user's level on each side by a harness or on the back on a suitable belt. However, these specialized solutions for rolling load transport reveal their limits on hilly terrain to the extent that they are not or poorly designed to be worn on the back. An invention referenced DE4202135 is similar to the present invention and provides a versatile bag for carrying a load on wheels or carrying on the back. The drawbacks of the proposed solution are the lack of robustness of the fastening system between the carrying device and the bag, the malfunction of the system allowing the configuration change portage (on the back or rolling). The connecting bar (between the bag and the carrying device) secured to the bag and folded along the surface in contact with the user's back does not seem to confer on the bag envisaged when it is used in a carrying configuration on the back the pleasure and comfort necessary for long walks. The surfaces exposed to soiling and located on the face of the bag facing the road when the bag is in bearing configuration have the disadvantage of being also in contact with the back of the user in the carrying position on the back . The invention is remarkable in that it provides a more practical carrying system. The invention is mainly composed of a carrying device and a volume containing the load. The volume containing the load is equipped so as to accommodate different sub-elements: two wheels removable or not and a connection element removable or not. It also provides a device for securing with the carrying device on the back. The carrying device may be a carrying rack or a shell of synthetic material provides the housing and fasteners 10 for securing with the volume containing the load. The combination of these various elements and under elements makes it possible to move the load either on the back by assembling the carrying device (1) with the load volume (2) as evidenced by FIG. a hand on the connecting element (6) connected to the load volume (2) equipped with its wheels as shown in FIG. 2 or by traction rolling at the carrying device (1) by the intermediate of a connecting element (6) connecting the load volume (2) equipped with its wheels as shown in Figure 1. The combination of the connecting element connected to the load volume equipped with its wheels allows to achieve a trailer for two wheels as shown in Figure 4. The attachment of the connecting element to the bike is permitted by a device similar to that described in Figure 6 and composed by the elements (25) and (3) attaching to the luggage rack. An industrial embodiment with a rack-type carrying device will be described below, by way of nonlimiting example. The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention: FIG. 1 shows the use of the device in the configuration of displacement of the load by traction rolling at the carrying device. FIG. 2 represents the use of the device in the configuration of displacement of the load by rolling by pulling a hand. Fig. 3 shows the use of the device in a backstroke configuration by assembling the carrying device with the load volume. Figure 4 shows the use of the device in trailer configuration for two wheels. Figure 5 shows a perspective view of the rack-type carrying device. Figure 6 shows a perspective view of a solution for connecting the link member to the carrying device. Figure 7 shows a perspective view of the aluminum tube frame of the load volume.
Figure 8 shows a perspective view of the assembly between the carry rack and the load volume. Figure 9 shows a front view of the assembly between the load volume and the connecting element.
Figure 10 is a perspective view of the assembly between the load volume frame and the plastic form members. FIG. 11 represents a perspective view of a part allowing another assembly solution between the carrying rack and the load volume. The embodiment comprises for the carrying device a rack (1) as illustrated in Figure 5. This rack meets the standard specifications for this product: good load capacity, good strength and good lightness . Materials that meet these criteria and can be used for reinforcement are aluminum and synthetic materials. This rack has a device for allowing to hook the connecting element to the posterior advanced of the rack. One embodiment of this device is proposed in FIG. 6. A hole (24) is made in the posterior end of the rack in which two metal eyelets positioned at the ends of a strap (25) enclosing a carabiner (FIG. 3). A seam is used to secure the carabiner with the strap. On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 6, the handle side end (7) of the connecting element 20 consists of a screw on which is threaded the two metal eyelets of the straps (8) of the strap and the eyelet of a strap (9) supporting a ring (4) to be passed through the carabiner (3). A nut (5) makes it possible to secure the strap (8) and the strap (9) with the connecting element (6). So that the walker is not disturbed in his walk and in particular in the descents by return movements 25 of the connecting element, it is respected for the dimensioning of the elements (25), (3), (4), (9) and (5) end to end a length less than the length corresponding to the posterior advancement of the rack marked H in Figure 5. The load volume is built around a light frame that can be aluminum or material synthetic. It may consist of one or more subject elements. This frame must combine strength and lightness. It can be realized as evidenced by Figure 7 and Figure 8 from a bent aluminum tube (10). Depending on the loads envisaged or the characteristics of the materials used, the frame may be reinforced by one or two sleepers. The aluminum tube has at both ends an end curvature forming a loop to engage the posterior advance of the rack. In order for the maintenance of the load volume on the carriage rack to be satisfactory, the distance between the two ends of the tube of the load volume must correspond to the width of the posterior advance of the rack 2903582 4 represented in FIG. The setting of the load volume on the carrying device is supplemented by an adjustable quick-opening loop fastener or single loop (16). This loop (16) is sewn at the end of a strap. This strap is pierced with an eyelet at its other end. This eyelet is engaged in the terminal portion of the connecting element as evidenced by Figure 9. On the side of the carrying member a strap (15) is placed in the center of the upper rail. This strap has metal eyelets to engage in the barb of the buckle secured to the load element. Note that the end loop of the aluminum tubes can be replaced by a piece of synthetic material (26) to be fixed to the ends of the tubes and having hooks in which it is possible to engage the posterior advancement of the carrying rack as shown in Figure 11. The frame is secured by an aluminum tongue (11) or a piece of synthetic material. This tongue is fixed by two rivets or screws (17) passing through the aluminum tube 15. A rivet or a screw (18) secures the two end portions of the tube. The existing space related to the radius of curvature of the tubes between the tongue and the rivet (18) allows for the guide of the connecting element (6). On the frame two stirrups (12) of synthetic material or light alloy to maintain the axis (19) on which are threaded two wheels (13). The stirrups are held on the frame by screwing or riveting. Circlips allow to stop in translation the wheels on their axis. Other stop devices may be envisaged, in particular those allowing rapid disassembly of the wheel. In any case, the axle and the wheels can be disassembled and stored inside the load volume, this making it possible to reduce the size of the device in public transport for example.
The connecting element (6) is a tubular telescopic step stick. The tube in its low end is threaded on a few centimeters to allow the screwing of a screw (14). The tube of the frame is pierced with a hole of diameter equal to that of the lower end of the connecting element. The connecting element is engaged in this hole. The eyelet of the strap (16) of the loop is threaded over the traversing portion of the connecting element. A small strap (20) pierced at one end of a metal eyelet to the diameter of the connecting element and at its other end of another eyelet to the diameter of the screw (14) allows the maintenance of the element connection during the thrust forces of the connecting element on the load volume. The small strap being engaged on the one hand on the connecting element and on the other hand resting on the contour of the end of the connecting tube 35, the assembly can then be finalized by the positioning and screwing of the screw (14). The holding of the connecting element is completed by its passage in the guide formed by the space between the tongue (11) and the fixing point (18). The handle 2903582 5 the connecting element is larger than the opening of the guide. Thus, in the carrying configuration on the back, the connecting element is folded and its handle positioned near the guide. A securing device other than that shown in Fig. 9 for making the detachable connecting element may also be envisaged. The detachable connecting member could act as a walking stick when the device is in a backpacking configuration. In the case of a removable connecting element, it will be necessary to strengthen the frame with one or two crosspieces, the connecting element playing a role in the maintenance of the load volume.
These elements make it possible to maintain the shapes of the load volume. They can be made from three plastic sheets cut according to the dimensions of the frame. The sheet (21) provides the bottom and the front and rear portions of the load volume in rolling configuration as evidenced by FIG.
The sheet (22) acting as a fender makes it possible to protect the side walls of the load volume facing the wheels. Finally, the sheet (23) intended to reinforce the area of the load volume lying in a low position in a back-carrying configuration is added. The sheet (23) also makes it possible to ensure the good maintenance of the carrying rack on the load volume. Indeed it has a width corresponding to the height measured between the plane of the frame and the underside of the attachment tubes added to the distance H of Figure 5. This width of the sheet (23) in contact with the elbow of the posterior advance of the rack allows in configuration of portage on the back the good wedging of the posterior advance of the rack in the handles of the volume of load. It will also be ensured that the length M 25 corresponding to the length of the sheet (23) and highlighted in FIG. 10 is greater than the length L corresponding to the internal distance between the two uprights of the rack at the level of the This condition is necessary so that the bottom of the load volume does not press directly on the back of the user in the back load configuration. The sheets 30 (21), (22) and (23) are assembled by gluing or riveting. The fabrics forming the load volume are sewn around this plastic shell before the establishment of the assembly by screwing or riveting on the frame. The invention makes it possible to transport a load either by rolling or by carrying on the back depending on the possibilities of the terrain used.
It is useful for long hikes or for multi-day raids.
An urban version with smaller wheels may be available for shopping cart use. It has the advantage over the cart to be able to move on the back for the crossing of stairs for example. It also offers a sportier image than that conveyed by the shopping cart.
The adaptation of a small optional seat to the load volume can also be considered to allow the transport of a young child during hikes.
