Abstract

The oysters (3) are attached individually or in smaller groups to a layer of plastic mesh (1) laid on the bottom (4) of a maturing bed by a blob of mortar (2). Each oyster is held in place by its lower shell, positioning it ideally for perfect development of each mollusc and its shell.
