Abstract

The load bearing structure is formed by the superpositioning and assembling of three elementary sections. A self-stacking base section (1) which receives stiffeners and bottom structure fixed fastening panels. An upper section (2) serves to cap the structure cover plates and create the upper inertia of the composite section. A lower section (3) creates the bottom inertia of the composite structure.

This carrier profile is said to be "compound" as opposed to the other profiles already existing on the market, and intended for the same purpose. All these other profiles, in fact, are "simple", that is to say in one piece. FRA0.633.370.A1, FR.A.2.599.118, FRA.2.627.530) This carrier profile is said to be "compound" because it results from the superposition and then the assembly of three so-called "elementary" profiles.

The interest of this composition is to allow the production of large profiles, thus having high mechanical characteristics.

It seems useful to specify in order to better appreciate the interest of the invention, the way the aluminum profiles are manufactured. They are obtained by "extrusion", a process consisting of forcing a preheated aluminum cylinder into force. (Billette) through a mold (Matrix) to give it its final shape. The pressure forces to cover and the breaking strength of the matrix, automatically limit the dimensions of a single profile and therefore its mechanical performance .

The "elementary" profiles due to their reduced dimensions are easily extrudable and easy to bend. On the other hand, they make it possible to create a whole family of "compound" profiles of great dimensions with mechanical characteristics impossible to obtain with a unique profile.

Figure N 1 shows the three "elementary" profiles before assembly.

The "basic" profile, called Base profile (1), in the central position, accommodates in its upper part the "elementary" profile, referred to as the upper profile (2), and in its lower part, the "elementary" profile, referred to as the lower profile (3).

The base profile (Fig.2) from its configuration is "Auto-stackable". Figures 5, 6 and 7 show three examples of profiles "composed" from the three "elementary" profiles, Figures 6 and 7 setting highlight the "Auto-Stackable" property of the Base Profile.

Those skilled in the art will readily understand that the number of stackings is not limited to 3 as in FIG. 7.I1 will also conceive that stacking can also be done along the axis horizontal in the case where it would be necessary to strengthen the resistance along this axis, according to the known principle of laminated timber beams, and that this provision can not be an innovative element to the present invention.

This base profile, in addition to the reception of the upper and lower profiles, receives in the two lateral cages (21) & (21a) aluminum plates used to join the different sections of the "compound" profile constituting a hoop. cages also receive the profile uniting the hoop and the mounting plate on the ground, or the trolley in the case of mobile structures. These cages also allow the passage, along the horizontal axis, of the spacer tubes serving as stiffeners between the different arches.

The central cage (22) houses the screws allowing the union of the 3 elementary profiles (fig 5, 6, 7) before consolidation by gluing. (See below) Two tear-off strips on request (23 & 23bis) allow insert into the profile the fixed closing panels between hoops in their lower part.

Before proceeding to the presentation of the Superior and Lower profiles, it is useful to recall the basic concepts determining the strength of a beam. A beam is constituted by a vertical core, an upper wing and a lower wing. the IPN in metal construction). The soul only serves to maintain a constant spacing between the two wings.

It brings virtually nothing to the inertia of the beam and can even be perforated, triangulated etc. The inertia of the beam and therefore its mechanical characteristics depend on the surface of the upper and lower wings and especially their distance from each other. the center of gravity of the beam.In addition we will seek to position the center of gravity at the geometric center of the beam and to balance the inertia on both sides of this axis.

In the context of the proposed invention, the already presented Basic profile plays the role of the beam core. It has a light structure and its ability to self-stack allows to modulate the height of the profile "Composed" and therefore the distance of the upper and lower profiles from the center of gravity. These two profiles that are the wings of the beam, bring him virtually all its inertia. The inertia and thus the mechanical strength of the "Compound" profile are therefore flexible.

This inertia is all the more flexible as explained above, it depends not only on the distance to the center of gravity, but also the surface of the upper and lower wings.

Figure 3, representing the profile Superior, offers a whole family of profiles, 3 in this case, non-limiting figure, to obtain different inertia.

The surface of the lower profile (Figure 4) will be calculated so as to balance in the lower part the inertia provided by the selected Superior profile.

Thus, by combining the number of stackings of the Base profile to determine the height of the "Composite" profile and different types of Superior and Inferior profiles, we really obtain an infinite combination of solutions that make it easy to adapt. in all cases.

In addition, the upper profile (FIG. 3) can vary in height (31, 32, 33) so as to accommodate different thicknesses of cover plates, a principle already known in the so-called universal profile. Similarly, the upper central groove (4) which receives the fixing screw with the base profile is also used to house a vertical seal between superposed arches (Figure 8).

As already indicated, there exists a family of lower profiles of the type shown in FIG. 4, the thickness or surface of which creates an inertia comparable to that of the associated upper profile. This profile has in the center a reentrant portion (41) intended to be embedded in the base profile. This groove receives in its bottom, the union screw with the Base profile and on the other hand, as for the Superior profile, a vertical seal (fig 8) .This groove is also used to receive the vertical panels closing pediments of the structure.

The two lateral wings (42 & 42bis) are used to stiffen the profile, to better position it with respect to the Base profile, but also to prevent the glue from being ebbed (see below). We have seen above the interest of creating a "composite" profile of "elementary" profiles. But this composition, to be effective, supposes that the inertia of the different "elementary" profiles are added.

Simple screws are not enough to achieve this result. We must weld between the profiles, or given the progress of chemistry, paste them. Such products exist and the manufacturers guarantee the result.

Certain precautions of implementation are however to be respected, and in particular an average product thickness estimated at 2mm. Below this height the bonding is brittle and may not support the differential expansions between the elementary profiles. At the top the bonding becomes too flexible to the detriment of the homogeneity of the whole.

De même le profil de Base porte en sa partie inférieure 4 ergots (8,9,10,11) destinés au même usage en vu de son collage avec le profil Inférieur, (Fig 9)This is why we note in Figure 1 that Superior profile carries in its lower part 4 small lugs (4,5,6,7) to accommodate two spaces of 2 mm in height in the bonding area with the base profile . Likewise, the Base profile carries in its lower part 4 lugs (8, 9, 10, 11) intended for the same purpose in view of its bonding with the lower profile, (FIG. 9).
