Abstract
Description
Aménagement d'espace de baignade à épurationbiotosique. Development of a bathing area for biotosic purification.
The present invention relates to the development of bathing spaces whose water is purified by a natural process.
This type of swimming space allows you to reconcile the natural setting of a body of water! than a pond or a tac for example with the possibility of bathing in clear water and devoid of elements that can harm health.
The known swimming areas of the pool type generally offer a very sober and concrete setting consisting of a rectangular basin surrounded by a terrace. This concrete aspect is generally imposed to facilitate maintenance and to avoid any contamination of the water by external dirt. The water in this type of pool is generally decontaminated by the addition of chemicals such as chlorine ~ However chlorine is also aggressive for bathers, it irritates the skin and the eyes and brings a very unpleasant odor.
A current trend is pushing certain swimming pool manufacturers, to meet the demand of their customers, to imagine swimming pool models more integrated into your nature. We are talking about landscape pools.
This same tendency prompts us to consider the creation of truly natural bathing spaces, using the purifying power of aquatic ecosystems. Water purification is carried out there by biological treatment systems. These systems generally use lagooning techniques which purify water by the natural oxidizing action of microorganisms. The lagoon basins generally incorporate marsh plants used for their purification capacity. We then completely leave the framework of the pool, other constraints appear. Within the framework of the traditional swimming pool, the development of biological activity is blocked, using treatment products, which at first glance greatly facilitates the cleaning of the basin, since it suffices to eliminate the impurities coming from outside.
Patent FR 2 748 468 describes a process for treating the water of basins and swimming pools consisting of active filters and basins. A first filter consists of pebbles, gravel and gravels in which aquatic plants are installed. The second type of filtration is physico-chemical, installed in cartridge devices containing granules of alumina hydroxide.
Enfin, I'eau traverse des vasques permettant l'oxygénation de 1'eau. Finally, the water passes through basins allowing the oxygenation of the water.
The water treated by this type of biological system allows, to water treated by addition of chemicals, the development of aquatic life in the bathing basin. If it is not controlled, this development can become anarchic and compromise the necessary cleanliness of the swimming pool by the uncontrolled development of algae, aquatic insects, the accumulation of organic matter synthesized by living organisms. even inside the basin. This patent is concerned only with the treatment by filtering the water and not at all with the ecological balance of the basin necessary for controlling the development of very living in the bathing basin and the associated equipment.
The design of a biologically treated bathing space must therefore take into account both the treatment of water and the control of the inevitable development of living things in the bathing basin.
The present invention therefore aims to provide development solutions, water circulation and construction adapted to the creation of natural bathing spaces. Said solutions make it possible to ensure both the biological purification of water according to the methods described below, and the control of the development of living organisms in the bathing space. This control is ensured through the creation of environmental conditions favorable to the establishment of an ecological balance compatible with the bathing function. These solutions also allow an aesthetic integration of the purification elements which contribute to giving the whole a natural appearance.
To this end, the present invention provides a particular arrangement of the aquatic space comprising several delimited basins, one of which is assigned to bathing use and at least another is assigned to biological purification activity. Other optional basins can be reserved for the creation of complex aquatic biotopes.
The invention also proposes a system for circulating water between the different basins. The flows generated by this system create special conditions which are favorable to the establishment of a balanced ecosystem and which prevent the accumulation of sediment in the bathing basin. This system also makes it possible to guarantee the safety of fish and other aquatic animals, possibly arranged in the basins, with respect to pumping equipment.
The invention finally proposes a particular embodiment of the structure and of the watertightness of the basins.
The arrangement of biological purification bathing spaces according to the present invention is characterized in that the water circulation system (17) makes it possible to create water flows from the bathing basin (1) to a basin biological (2), said water flows allowing the establishment of a balanced ecosystem and avoiding the accumulation of sediment in the bathing basin, said biological basin containing aquatic plants (6) and a filtering mass (7) having role of purifying water; water thus purified then being retransferred by the water circulation system (17) in the bathing basin, said water flows between the bathing basin (1) and the biological basin (2) possibly passing through a garden aquatic reproducing a balanced ecosystem.

FIG. 6 represents in section the principle of separation of the basins.
As can be seen in FIG. 1, the fitted bathing space is composed of a bathing pool (1) as well as at least one biological pool (2) and possibly of aquatic gardens (3). The basins are isolated from each other by walls (4) for example through which water passages are distributed allowing the circulation of water. Access to the swimming pool (1) can be provided by pontoons (5), made of wood for example. According to one embodiment, the pontoons will be arranged in overlap of the walls (4) delimiting the swimming pool from the other pools.
The bathing pool (I) must contain clear water and free from bacteriological or other elements that can harm health. According to a possible embodiment, the bottom of the basin can be made of gravel and the walls designed and decorated so that the algae form a patina which fits into the decor and gives a natural appearance. It is also possible to place fish or other fish, each having a very specific role, in the bathing pool. For example, it is possible to introduce burrowing fish which will have the role of continually turning over the gravel from the bottom and raising the impurities and preventing the algae from forming an unattractive carpet.
You can also introduce surface fish to eliminate insects or herbivorous fish that will eat your algae.
The biological basin (2) constitutes the main organ of the biological purification system. The principle of purification of the biological basin (2) consists in favoring the development of certain natural elements so as to ensure the elimination of the elements of the water harmful to bathing. Thus, to obtain quality boxing water, it is necessary to limit the rate of inert organic matter in the water as much as possible. Poor elimination of organic matter can lead to brown coloring of the water, the development of pathogenic germs and the appearance of bad odors linked to fenmentation.
The elimination of organic matter is ensured by promoting the development of certain bacteria. Mention may be made for this purpose of the bacteria nitrosomas and nitrobacter.
Another important point for water quality is its transparency. To this end, the development of phytoplankton must be limited by favoring the development of macrophytes (or higher plants) to the detriment of microphytes (phytoplankton). We will therefore introduce plants which, by consuming the mineral salts necessary for the development of microphytes, will limit their development.
These different natural elements will therefore be introduced into the biological basin (2). This basin is also waterproof and isolated from natural soil according to a principle which will be described later. Placing these elements in a pool, for example close to the swimming pool will help give the whole a natural look.
Figure 2 shows a sectional view of the biological basin (2).
As described above, plants (6) are introduced into the biological basin (2) in order to avoid the development of microphytes. These plants can be aquatic plants or marsh plants. As an example, we can cite the Typhas and! to Jusséia grandiflora. The bottom of the biological tank (2) consists of a filter mass (7) serving as a filter and bacterial support.
The bacteria implanted in! filter media transform organic matter in suspension or dissolved in water into mineral salts. These mineral salts will then be assimilated by plants (6). To this end, the plants (6) are directly planted in the filter mass (7). The water is thus freed from dead organic matter and salts (Nitrates, Phosphates).
Ce système peut également tre placé sur le système de pompage (8).The filter mass (7) can be made of any type of porous material. For example, it is possible to use volcanic rock gravel. In order to maintain an oxygenation rate necessary for the bacteria contained in the filtering mass, it is possible to have, under the filtering mass for example, an oxygenation system of the horned type. This system can also be placed on the pumping system (8).
The filter mass can be made up of different layers of materials.
By way of example, the composition of the filter mass can be as follows (from top to bottom): -a layer of pozzolan or volcanic rock gravel (9)
-a layer of fine gravel (10)
-an anti-contamination net (11)
-a layer of rollers (12) to allow drainage of water to the pumping tank (13) where the strainer of the pump is located.
The purified water having thus passed through the filtering mass (7) is then drained at the bottom towards a pumping tank (13), shown in FIG. 3, to be transferred back to the bathing pool (1).
It is also possible to have ultraviolet lamps (14) between the biological basin (2) and the bathing basin ()) on the circuit of (8).
Ultraviolet rays thus ensure the destruction of pathogenic germs which could be suspended in water.
According to a minimum configuration, the bathing space is composed of a bathing pool (1) and a biological pool (2). The biological basin (2) constitutes the main part of the entire purification system. It is also possible to associate one or more other basins containing aquatic plants for example or to recreate an underwater decor. According to a general term, these basins will be called aquatic gardens in the description which follows.
These gardens will be able to participate, in addition to the biological basin in the purification of water by recreating a balanced ecosystem limiting the uncontrolled development of harmful elements. For this purpose, the aquatic gardens may for example contain aquatic plants of the same type as those of the biological basin (2). We can also introduce fish, for example. In addition, the presence of aquatic gardens makes it possible to create welcoming areas for aquatic animals and thus prevent them from being attracted to the swimming pool.
It is also possible, if necessary, to have a reservoir (15) which makes it possible to supply the various basins with water and to compensate, among other things, for evaporation. By a regulation system using a float and a pump (16) for example, this tank permanently allows to maintain a constant level in the different basins. This reservoir can be replaced by a water supply from the network, however it can be envisaged to fill it by recovering rainwater. For this purpose, it is possible to have a water recovery circuit from the gutters of neighboring buildings. In order to avoid any contamination of the water, the first rainwater containing polluted water (water having washed the roof) is trapped in a container fitted with a non-return valve, when this container is full, l water flows towards the tank (15). The container empties slowly so as to recover its trapping function if it does not rain for a few days.
In order to ensure mixing and renewal of the water in the swimming pool, circulating water flows between the different pools will be created so that the water in the swimming pool (l) passes through the water gardens before to pass into the biological basin (2) to be purified and to be transferred again to the bathing basin.
Figure 3 shows an example of the distribution of the different water flows between the basins.
The passage of water through the different basins is ensured by a water circulation system (17). This system makes it possible to continually renew the water of the various basins, to purify it by making it pass through the filtering mass (7) and to avoid any sedimentation in the part reserved for bathing which must remain clean. This sedimentation in addition to its unsightly appearance can promote the development of possibly pathogenic germs. The water circulation system is essentially composed of a pump (18), a pumping tank (13), a drain for collecting filtered water (19), a network of water collectors (20) in the aquatic garden and directed towards the biological basin, as well as different water passages (21) allowing communication between the different basins.
The description of the principle of water circulation which follows is illustrated by FIGS. 3,4 and 5. According to an embodiment represented in FIG. 4, when the pumping system is stopped, the water levels between the different basins are the same. It is however possible to imagine the different basins at different heights without the water circulation process changing.
FIG. 5 schematically represents an example of operation of the water circulation system.
Purified water contained in the pumping tank (13) is transferred by the pump (18) into the bathing pool (I), thus creating an overpressure in the latter. Under the effect of this overpressure, the water from the swimming pool (!) Is evacuated by the deep water intakes (22), located at the bottom of the swimming pool and communicating through the walls (4), towards another basin in the form of a gravity flow and by the overflows (23) located on the top of the walls (4) and allowing an overflow over it in the form of a surface flow, thus creating a mixing keep on going ! of the entire volume of water avoiding any sedimentation. The surface flow also allows to skim the elements floating on the surface of the water by evacuating them from the basin concerned. The orifices of the bathing basin allowing the evacuation of the flows are made over its entire periphery. The water discharged from the swimming pool (1) is discharged into the aquatic garden (3) if it exists or directly into the biological basin (2) otherwise. Collectors (20) are arranged in the aquatic garden (3). The water thus collected is transferred by gravitation to the biological basin (2). The slow flows through the water garden avoid stagnation, do not hinder the development of aquatic plants and create ideal living conditions for many aquatic species thus promoting the creation of a complex balanced ecosystem.
The water from the biological basin (2) is then filtered and then flows through the collection drain (19) into the pumping tank in order to be pumped and reintroduced into the bathing basin (I). The ultraviolet system (14) can be placed between the pump (18) and the bathing pool, for example, it ensures decontamination of the water before it returns to the part reserved for bathing.
An oxygenation system of the known type can be placed under the filter mass (7) or at any other place in the basins.
Preferably, the configuration of the basins between them is such that at any location, the water in the basins is regularly stirred by the flows and there is thus no dead water conducive to bacteriological development. To this end, the bathing pool can for example be surrounded by other pools. The arrows in Figure 3 represent the water flows. These flows are directed from the bathing pool to the biological pool. In order to avoid sedimentation in the aquatic garden parts, it is possible to have additional pumping systems (24) operating in a closed circuit on these parts and in addition to the main circuit, making it possible to create turbulence in order to move the sedimented materials. towards the biological basin (2). Such a system has an advantage all the more important as the size of the aquatic garden is large.
The present invention also proposes a particular embodiment of the different basins and their sealing, represented in FIG. 6. This embodiment consists in constructing a main basin (28) then in creating different basins inside by isolating them by walls (4). This embodiment is much simpler to carry out than to constitute several independent basins since it makes it possible to make water passages between the different basins without worrying about sealing problems between the walls (4). It is however conceivable to make several independent basins without departing from the scope of the present invention.
The tanks are sealed by affixing a waterproof membrane (25). By way of example, this waterproof membrane can be made of elastomeric bitumen and non-woven polyester reinforcement. The walls (4) are placed directly on the membrane under which a reinforced concrete footing (26) may have been previously placed. The membrane is possibly protected by layers of protective film. There will be no need for any waterproofing connection since the membrane will be interposed between the wall (4) and the natural floor (27).
The present invention finds its applications in private bathing installations but also in larger installations such as public basins.
