Abstract

The tubular packaging is cut out and folded from a cardboard blank (1). It holds a pair of covered food jars whose side walls converge towards the base. In the lower wall (4) are a pair of tabs (16,17) partially cut out of the blank which have a free edge with a shape corresponding to the intermediate transverse section of each pot. The tabs are attached to the blank by folding lines (18) forming hinges and after folding upwards around the hinges free the pot retaining openings against downwards movement. The upper parts of the pots are thus housed inside the packaging and their lower parts project under the packaging through openings in the lower wall. Each tab has a foldable end part (19,21) formed by a folding line (22,23) parallel to its hinge and can be folded horizontally after placing the jars in the openings to form a central upper edge which holds the jars against upward movement. The first tab (16) has an opening (24) and the second tab (17) has a locking tab (25).

L'emballage tubulaire suivant l'invention est réalisé à partir d'un flan de carton rectangulaire I représenté à plat sur la figure 1. Emballage tubulaire, à section transversale rectangulaire ou trapézoidale, formé à partir d'un flan de carton ou de matière similaire (1), découpé et replié, pour le maintien groupé d'au moins une paire de pots (11) pourvus de couvercles (12), contenant notamment des produits alimentaires, à paroi latérale de forme convergente vers le bas, c'est-à < lire en forme de tronc de cône ou de pyramide, comportant, dans sa paroi inférieure (4), au moins une paire de languettes (16,17) découpées partiellement dans le flan de carton de manière à avoir un bord libre dont la forme correspond à une section transversale intermédiaire de chaque pot (11), les languettes (16,17) étant rattachées au flan de carton le long de lignes de pliage (18), formant charnières, s'étendant parallèlement au plan de symétrie vertical et longitudinal (P) de l'emballage tubulaire monté, les languettes (16,17), après rabattement vers le haut autour de leurs charnières (18), sensiblement perpendiculairement à la paroi inférieure (4), dégageant des ouvertures (13) de retenue des pots à l'encontre d'un mouvement vers le bas, de manière que les parties supérieures des pots (11) soient logées à l'intérieur de l'emballage tubulaire monté et que leurs parties inférieures fassent saillie en dessous de l'emballage, à travers les ouvertures (13) de la paroi inférieure (4), chacune des languettes (16,17) comportant une partie extrême pliable respective (19,21), délimitée par une ligne de pliage (22,23) parallèle à sa charnière (18) et pouvant être repliée à l'liorizontale, après la mise en place des pots (11) dans les ouvertures de retenue (13), pour constituer un arrêt central supérieur (15) retenant chaque paire de pots (11) à l'encontre d'un mouvement vers le haut, caractérisé en ce que chaque paire de languettes (16,17) comprend une première languette (16) dans laquelle est formée une ouverture (24) située dans la partie centrale de sa ligne de pliage (22) délimitant sa partie extrême (19), et une seconde languette (17) comportant une patte de verrouillage (25) attenante d'une manière intégrale à sa partie extrême (21), dont le bord est découpé dans la seconde languette (17), de telle façon que lors du mouvement de rabattement conjoint des parties extrêmes (19,21) des languettes (16,17) vers la position horizontale, pour la formation de l'arrêt central supérieur (15), la patte de verrouillage (15) de la seconde languette (17) s'engage à travers l'ouverture (24) de la première languette (16), pour atteindre, en fin de rabattement, une position finale horizontale dans laquelle elle assure la retenue vers le haut d'une partie marginale du couvercle de l'un des pots, et que les deux parties extrêmes (19,21), rabattues conjointement l'une sur l'autre, soient appliquées, en position finale horizontale, pardessus une partie marginale du couvercle de l'autre pot (11), en s'étendant ainsi dans la direction opposée à celle de la patte de verrouillage (25). 1.
