Abstract

The lock includes stirrup (1) having a circular section tube (2) carrying an internal nut (4) fixed on one side. A threaded rod (3), which is screwed inside the nut, is moved by a key (8) with a prismatic head (6) penetrating into the tube.The threaded rod is extended by a cylindrical bolt (5) which passes through a wall of the stirrup. A flexible steel claw (10) is activated by the longitudinal displacement of the threaded rod and traps the key (8) so that the lock is not in the locked position. A piston (12), not activated by hand, is held by a spring (13) in front of the bolt (5) for preventing locking when the passage has not been closed again. USE/ADVANTAGE - Provides a robust lock for fire access doors in fences surrounding country properties. It is impossible to manoeuvre with pliers if correctly closed.
