Abstract

The carrying case for objects, such as tools, consists of a base (1) and at least two panels (3 ,4), which are mounted so as to pivot on the base. The panels pivot from a closed position, where the panels form the boundaries of the enclosed space, used to contain the objects, to the open position, giving access to the objects inside. The panels pivot about a horizontal axis (6 ,7), which extends along the length of the lower edge of each panel and along the length of two opposed external surfaces (8 ,9) of the base. Each panel also has a longitudinal edge (16 ,17), extending along the length of the opposite edge to the pivot, and which provides a support for the case to stand on the ground, when the panels are fully open.
