Abstract

The invention relates to a portable and moistening and unwinding apparatus for a gummed strip carrying, on one face, a layer of a product which, in the wetted state, forms an adhesive. This apparatus is of the type comprising a support piece (1) on which are mounted a handle (9) for handling the apparatus, a shaft-hub (13) for carrying a roll of gummed strip (4), a cylinder (14) for applying the strip (7) and a moistening device (10) placed between the roll (4) and the applicator cylinder (14), as well as a reservoir (26) of a liquid, such as water, and means (24) for supplying this liquid from the reservoir (26) to the moistening device (10), the latter comprising a moistening element (32) in contact with the said face of the gummed strip and produced from a spongy material. The apparatus is characterised in that the reservoir (26) for the moistening liquid is placed in the handle (9) and the latter carries means (23) for expelling the liquid out of the reservoir, into the moistening device (10), which means can be actuated by the hand holding the said handle (9). The invention can be used to apply a gummed strip made from paper.

La présente invention a pour objet un appareil dérouleur humecteur portable de bande gommée, avantageusement en papier et portant sur une face une couche d'un produit constituant à l'état humidifié un adhésif, pour appliquer cette bande gommée à l'étant humidifié à une surface ou au moins aux surfaces de deux éléments pour les relier par collage, du type comprenant une pièce de support sur laquelle sont montés une poignée pour le maniement de l'appareil, un axe-moyeu pour porter un rouleau de bande gommée, un cylindre applicateur de la bande et un dispositif humecteur placé entre le rouleau et le cylindre applicateur, ainsi qu'un réservoir d'un liquide tel que de l'eau et des moyens d'amenée de ce liquide du réservoir au dispositif humecteur, ce dernier comprenant un élément humecteur en contact avec ladite face de la bande gommée et réalisé en un matériau à effet d'éponge.
