Abstract

The invention relates to a system with which it is possible to cover a surface in a variable manner in such a way as to protect the latter from the sun or rain or, in contrast, to allow these to pass through. It consists of flaps (1) which are articulated at each of their ends about hinges (2) and which are placed in parallel and at regular intervals on a frame (3) supporting the system; two connecting rods (4) connect each of the flaps (1) to one another via hinge pins (5). By means of a control system (6) it is possible to move one of the two connecting rods (4) and, consequently, to turn the flaps (1) either to a closed position or to a more or less open position. A system, which is not described, makes it possible to block the control in the desired position.
