Abstract

The present invention relates to a novel type of windscreen. The object of the invention is to produce a novel windscreen which is easy and quick to install either when originally mounted, or as a repair. This object is achieved with the aid of a windscreen for vehicles, particularly for lorries, buses, cars, trains, underground trains and trams, characterised in that it has an elastomer seal 2 one face 4 of which is bonded onto the periphery of the internal face of the windscreen, and the opposite face 5 of which, which is to be fixed onto the internal part of the bodywork, includes rigid fixing inserts 6 embedded in the said seal 2 and spaced apart, these inserts having tapped orifices 10 for the passage of fixing members 8. This invention is more particularly intended for vehicles whose windscreens are replaced frequently.

Or, il est souvent difficile d'appliquer cette pâte de façon uniforme, notamment pour les grands pare-brise de plusieurs mètres carres. Cette technique est donc assez complexe et nécessite du personnel qualifié ce qui augmente les coûts de montage.En outre, il est nécessaire pour chaque pare-brise de faire des essais sous pluie artificielle pour tester l'étanchéité. Du fait des tolérances autorisées lors de la fabrication des pare-brise, il existe parfois des différences importantes de galbe, de hauteur et de largeur duditpare-brise. En conséquence, il est alors nécessaire de rajouter de la pâte d'étanchéité a certains endroits.
