Abstract

The present invention relates to a temperature-limiting device for a fan of a controlled mechanical ventilation installation. The device is characterised in that it is essentially constituted by a duct section 1 to be inserted into the duct of the mechanical ventilation installation upstream of the fan, this section 1 being provided with an opening 2 which is closed off, under the normal operating conditions, by a flap 3 mounted so as to rotate by means of a pin 4 on the duct section 1 and activated so as to open, in the event of an abnormal temperature rise, by a means 5 which reacts to a temperature gradient.
