The subject of the invention is a device for controlling the draught of a stove (closed fire) 3, characterised in that it consists of a movable damper 12 interposed in a conduit for diverting a portion of the primary combustion air towards the flue (exhaust conduit) 11 for the smoke and enabling the passage cross-section of the said bypass conduit to be adjusted with the aid of a control rod assembly accessible from outside the stove.
